Sadly it's that time, your team for 2020

For mine there is not that much off with the current roster, we are only 2 wins out of the 8, thanks to injuries and the failed Ponga experiment at the start of the year, that could easily not be the case.

The number of players we had in Origin, points to a solid core, I wouldn't fall for the trap of wholesale changes, teams need to be built on hard work and suffering not bought.

Going with what we know, Brayley is in , apparently there is cap constraints so should target a specialist 5/8 and the figures being linked of KPs potential upgrade is ludicrous, lock him up long term for sure but be warry of putting all your eggs in one basket , one injury is all it takes to derail the year.

Buy a quality five eighth or stand still next year, like this year.

Watson is a #9, Lino a Cup player and Mann - for goodness sake who knows?

Mann is just the latest in a succession of part-time fluffers that Brown has tried to take from the casting couch to main event hookers.

If he's not spending most of his time in reserves next year we're not in great shape

Watson isn’t a hookers *******. Watson is destined to be a utility his career and be given a specific job every game. Mainly run the ball, he’s like Peach.

No doubt every player sets their sights on nailing a spot in the starting 13, unfortunately some are just more suited to a specialist utility role. Every team needs them and there's no shame in it.

If Watson sharpens up his passing game he'll be hard to leave out

The Elephant in the room is that Pearce wins us games when he is at his best, but he showed this year that he can't stay at his best for more than a few months at a time.

We need another half who can win games without Pearce contributing a MOTM performance.

We have some young guys, but realistically, they won't be ready next year.

I agree Billy and that is why I suggested we invest in a 5/8 and leave the rest of the line up alone.

Toohey saying time and again we aren't looking for a 5/8, but Brown in a recruitment update said that 5/8 is the next position they need to look at.

Wasnt saying they were buying one but the discussion was around recruitment and mentioned the club not being able to afford a 1mil 5/8.

Sione is the 2020 canary in the coal mine. If he's getting lots of games we're not going to be very good.

Going to need the young forwards to take a big step.

Lee's on contract, Best show'd his got a lot of potential, do we really need SKD at $350k yeah his been great but........... Would the $$$ be better spent elsewhere?

Best is not a winger. Centre is where he has mostly played, but till 18 months ago he was a forward, and I won't be surprized if wide running second row is where he finally lands. A guy with his size, power and speed will be a weapon in the second row - Bob McCarthy style.

Can’t see the new coach coming in and making big changes to the squad, Ramien, Ross and Stone gone and Buhrer, Griff, Hunt, Jones, SKD and Woolford off contract so some might be retained but means 9 vacancies on roster possibly more if the likes of Levi, Ese’ese, Gavet and Guerra are moved along.
Don’t like the idea of paying those contracted players to play elsewhere so unless it’s a good deal I would be happy to leave them on the books and play even if it is mostly Reserves. It’s only 1 year and give the new coach a chance to assess what he has and needs.
