this has all the trademarks of an underwhelming performance and a loss by 20+. geez i hope im wrong and weve turned a corner though. after years of heartbreak ive learnt to keep the bar low as you can see.
for real though like mentioned i think keary is a better player without cronk and im nervous to see him and tedesco coming at our right edge all night. ramien needs the game of his life, and if he can control latrell it should be enough to get him an origin jersey.

I've been confident of victory every week so far but I have a feeling tonight we'll get smashed. No reason we should I just have a feeling in the nether regions.

There are a few things that worry me about this game.

*Short turn around
*Roosters don't make a habit of losing two on the bounce
*Likewise the comp is so close it is very hard to win five on the trot
*The Roosters wins have come mainly against other top 8 sides, our four wins have hardly been against competition heavyweights
*Latrell had a shocker by his standards last week and supposedly has his off field dramas sorted
*Roosters had some big names out against the Storm but the replacements who came in played above expectations. I can see Lamb doing this.

Anyway, let's hope it's a good game and we get to better see where the Knights are truly at going into Origin when the competition really starts.

I noticed last week that Lamb did almost no kicking in reserve grade for the first time this year. He actually leads the comp for kick metres and number of kicks over the season.
I didn't see the game, but I suspect he was playing more of a 5/8 role than the halfback role he has been playing all year, because Lam was injured the week before, and they needed him to be ready to play second fiddle to either Cronk or Keary.
Last week he did 5 kicks for 95 metres. The game before he kicked 344 metres.

I share those concerns. They can all be used as positives somewhat though, if handled properly.

The short turn around can be negated by telling the boys up front they will be getting a chunk of days off after the game if the effort is there. The bye next week means we don't have to prepare for anyone straight up.

Roosters loss last week means they will be up for it. We will get an absolute guide of where we are at.

Winning four gives us confidence we were lacking. We can look at this game as a mid season finals match and really test ourselves.

The Broncos had a hand in keeping Mitchell quiet. We can emulate that. Really, it starts in the middle of the field.

Lamb will be good, part of the overall test.

King and Buhrer are both playing reserve grade - Brodie Jones isn't - so we either have no 18th man warming up, or somehow Jones is 18th man (don't think that can be done)

Klemmer vs JWH means it’ll get rowdy. I’m seeing our forwards getting on top in this one. Will give Ponga/Pearce the chance to slice them ****s to pieces.
