Addo-Carr and Fergo would be fine by me. Tupou if Freddy is keen to keep the Chooks edge combination. Wrong team though :lol:

Not sure if this would be a popular option but Morgan at centre would be awesome. He did a more than solid job there before and needs to be in the 17 somewhere. The only thing keeping Eddy out of the QLD side imo.
 
It would be very good for Lee to get a run in origin.
I think he lacks a bit of self confidence sometimes, and the best thing about guys getting rep games is they always get a boost in self confidence that often takes their game to a new level when they go back to club games.
 
Qld could also use Ponga as a winger - just to get him into the side.
He played most of his games at the cowboys in firstgrade as a winger, and went pretty well.
If they can't find a spot for him at fullback or 5/8, they might drop him on a wing.

For the most part your right but for me Origin killed Mullos career.
 
Dan Saifiti could play himself into contention with a big game today.
Middle forwards are always short on the ground.

Always felt for Pearce no one would have beat that QLD and he had to put up with Farah and Gal in the team ruining plays and mostly lost by >6.

I've been think about Dan's chances

Obvious props for NSW are
Klemmer
Vaughn

Ones that are in contention via previous experience or name.
Woods
Gillard
Prior
J Trbojevic
T Sims

Woods, is part of the old crew, so probably no chance.

Gillard, is playing like the 1 good run a game player he is.

Prior, was far out of his depth imo.

Sims, went ok but seemed to excited and did silly chit.

Trbojevic, is all class and will be in the team, though at starting lock for the absence of De Ballin.

So really Dan has a 50% chance and if he goes out and dominated the Dogs plus our next few games does the same, he could get into the blues over the 3 game series.

Personally for the Knights I'd rather he was over looked this year, klemmer is a big loss as is.
But he would gain some major benefits even being 19th or 18th man at some point.
 
Brown was asked this in the presser. He said they had some thoughts on who would come in depending on who is picked. Indicated J Saf and Saulo were next 2 forwards up.

Funny how much smoother we looked in attack without Gallen in there stinking up the plays, it's nice to win by 10 then grind out a two point loss. With guys like Cook and Tedesco and Keary being a breath of fresh air we really need to take advantage of QLDs greats retiring and have that scoring mentality
 
I have no doubt Cleary and Keary will be the halves. NSW had learnt to stop switching halves surely, exception for Keary who is red hot and has years to come, complete opposite for Maloney.

Anyone who thinks Ponga won’t be the FB for QLD are kidding themselves.

Ramien will get a gig for sure.

I can't understand how anyone would think Ponga is not the first bloke picked for Qld. At fullback.

Klemmer is also a certainty.

I was thinking during the Bulldogs game despite being ineffective for his first few games what he's shown since switching from fullback in the 65th min during that raiders game is that he's shown enough already to be QLDs starting fullback

Lol if Boyd coming out of retirement is legit

I think that’ll be pretty close to what we go with for game 1 obviously providing no one else gets hurt before teams are announced.
Pretty handy side but if I was selecting I’d drop cleary and give an inform Pearce a shot at redemption with an actual decent rep side around him (he was the scapegoat for Daley being a **** coach) id also drop critchon and bring in either lodge or haas as an extra front rower
