2019 Harold Matts and SG Ball

Soward talking nonsense as usual.
Both teams have been great in defence all season, especially the Knights.

Pezet put Keely through a gap.
6-0 to the good guys.
How strong was Bradbury in his run?

12-8
I expect our big boys will get back on top after halftime.
Bradbury needs to get stuck into them.

26-8
normal service has been resumed.
We only gave up 83 points all season, and 33 of them were to Souths, so averaging about 8 points conceded against everyone but Souths, who were the other strong side this year.

Doggies put it right to us, but Knights too good in defence and attack.
Naigoliva our best IMO, but all the guys showed plenty of promise for the future.

Bradbury got the official MOTM.
I thought it was one of his poorer games TBH, which doesn't mean he was bad, just not his devastating best.

I hope Bradbury knocks back his motm award, it has traditionally been a Roosters contract

Manly lost the Ball GF to Illawarra in the final minutes.
That same age group from Manly lost the Mathews GF to us 2 years ago when Jaron Purcell scored for us right at the end.
I'd feel sorry for them, but they are Manly.
Three of our best when we beat them in Mathews were Bradman Best, Harry Croker and Jaron Purcell - all guys who were injured this year for us, along with Simi Sasagi.
If we had those 4 all Ball season I think we'd have gone OK.

Watched the Mathews final again (starts at 2.15), and the organising of Pezet really stands out when you watch him closely. He called every play, and every time he was on screen he was shouting instructions and encouragement. When they did that 15 minutes of solid defence at the start of the second half he was literally screaming at everyone before every drop out.

Highlights of the grandfinal.
Of course, the real highlight was us defending our line for 15 minutes straight, which is something that never happens in under 16s.
Looks like the score line I'll be happy with this weekend too:newcastle:

The Knights were certainly clinical, well drilled and sharp....for the Bulldogs, that second try where the fullback got an offload with 2 Knights players looking like they were actually doing a reasonable job of wrapping him up was pretty special too
