It's odd that the photos of the captains run have Pheonix Crossland running with the squad when he didn't play reserve grade.
I suppose if there were any doubt over one of the halves they might be able to ask for him to play since he's a development player, and all our halves are either playing or injured.

I'm as critical of our performances as the next bloke but I reckon all we need is a convincing win and we'll start stringing some wins together with the calibre of team we have. Hoping that starts tomorrow. We're just playing low confidence footy at the moment.

Could be right. Certainly have the calibre of player, as you mention. Klemmer & Pearce are stars of our game, Ponga is a freak, players like Ramien, Ese & Daifiti I reckon all clubs would love to have. After that we have a good bunch of club players who are good on their day. That's why our last loss was so hard to take. Getting down 18-0, after already 3 losses in a row, was a sign that we haven't developed beyond the **** years that Brown is responsible for.

So is anyone expecting a win today? Can’t say I am, but would love to be proven wrong.

Interested to see how the players respond to the criticism of Brown.

100%
For me it would be as factual as a written testament of each players opinion of Brown and his coaching ability. I hope they do respond and get a big win for us all. Would way rather see Brown succeed. I don’t actually mind how he comes across. Just disappointed that whatever it is he is trying to do doesn’t seem to be working.

That's exactly what I've tried to express. I want him/us to be successful. He seems a decent enough bloke. Just don't see too much happening in the way of actual coaching ability.

I'd have Buhrer starting and Levi off the bench. That worked well last year.

I never expected much from Lino, but bringing him into firstgrade half fit with 30 minutes of footy all season hasn't been a fair test for him. I hope he gets another chance when he is fully fit at some stage. I think we should only really use him as a backup for Pearce though - not a 5/8.
