If Pearce plays 10% better we win that game easily , Gavet there gives us more sting in attack and defence . If Pearce kicks that 1st field goal we win and were all on here saying were not playing 100% but great grinding win , weve lost 3 games by a total of 10 points were not there yet but it isn't that far away .

Plenty of merit in what you say but close enough isn't nor shouldn't be good enough.

One big difference for me when it comes to watching our first 4 games is the attack inside their 20m. Last year from game 1 I expected us to score every time we got in position. So far in 2019 we get inside their 20m and I hope rather than expect.

So if Woolfe gets all the blame/credit for defence, and we're throwing Sheppard under the bus for the attack, what exactly does the head coach do...?

Dogs were real fun to watch yesterday. Haven't been able to say that about the knights for a long time.
Woolfe has done a good job on our defence imo its much better than it has been and a touch more mojo in attack and Sheppard will have done a good job too and of course Brown brought both here so a coach doing the right thing .
Bellamy has a defensive coach and I bet he has an attacking coach and a kicking coach for a time there was too both named Johns so what does Bellamy do (he brings in the best staff he can to make his team perform ) just like Brown has done .

we arent the only team struggling in that regard. to me its the fact that the refs (across the board) are not policing the ruck as they were last year and its alot slower. 99% of the time you are facing a set defensive line, the fact they dont seem to be policing the 10 either is making life hard for teams attack. on the flip side i attribute our improvement in defence to the slower ruck aswell. if this is how it will be all year fair enough we have to adjust, but atm i think its what is hurting us the most.

Winning by an inch or a mile is still winning. I don't car how scrappy it is we just need to win! Klemmer isn't getting the rewards he deserves for punching out the metres he does. We need to learn there are two sides to a footy ground. Play both. Expose weaknesses and then attack those.

Still no need to panic.

Yeah we are only 1 win from 4, but from positions 6 - 11 are all only on 2.

We have played some pretty solid opposition so far and the results haven't happened for us to our liking sure, but I can't see any wrist slitting having happened if we had of beaten 1 more team and been equal with those 6-11 teams.

We have an easier run of it for the next 5 so this is where things have to turn around.

Lino did well I thought for his debut considering where the team was at when he got his start. He gives another attacking option and can kick. Give him a little time to settle in.

Dan had a good first hit out on return and Jacob will be back soon, Herm as well and Moga not far away to bring some size out wide.

The steadying voice of reason.

With the bottle neck between 6- 11 maybe we aren’t the only ones having teething problems with the new seasons start.

I look forward too what is to come and us playing to our potential.

We are a new side and it only takes the smallest lapses to effect the building of faith required.

We're not far off. All have been close games, defence is okay considering how many points we've let in. Just a few simple luck moments in games that are a flip of the coin off from us winning the match. Frizell's strip for example, a real simple mistake where if Pearce just holds on, we potentially win the game. Or setting up for field goal rather than Ponga kicking for the wing. 1 win from 4 seems atrocious but the fact we're not getting hammered or being torn apart gives me a lot of confidence. We surely will get better over a 24 game season, simple key luck moments will have to go our way some time. As for actually becoming a decent side that doesn't need luck, Ponga's game was very promising. He looked more threatening than ever to me, his confidence is growing.

Personally I don't think were going as bad as people seem to think ..Cronulla have strike power all over the field but we beat them so what happened to there attack. The Panthers are a top 4 side apparently with the current NSW halves and a monster pack , they beat us by 2 points so what happened to there attack .
Canberra are playing bloody good footy this season with most of the English rep pack and they beat us by 7 points what happened to there attack .
The Dragons have a very good big side and they were very lucky to beat us , what happened to there attack .
Were not playing near our best and we could have easily won all those games , When the boys all click we will win more than we lose .
Give them time .
