Sione Mata'utia re-signs with the Knights

I’m not trying to be a sione hater but with the amount of head knocks he gets he is definitely a liability to the team. Unless he can pull something amazing off for the rest of the year I don’t see him being in FG next year.

Ayoub only took him off because he knew there'd be howls of protest if he didn't, and he's already been accused of not taking proper precautions with previous head knocks.

Let's face it of the two centres Sione finished a mile in front of Moga tonight.

At least people might stop overrating Moga now. Big physical man hard to bring down, but has slips in concentration. A very similar reason we used to love & hate Leilua.

Neither centre finished covered in glory. And that dumb penalty Sione gave away after the short kick was as bad as last week and both led to tries.

Lol, good one. He got taken off because he was in Disneyland.

Because he wasn't concussed? That's what the HIA is for...

You don't get a concussion every time you bang your head on something. Sione obviously failed the "slow to stand" protocol so HIA was mandatory.

I think the HIA was precautionary because of all the issues he has had I don't think he was in disneyland think he was just stunned

He will probably still do what McManus did and sue the Knights/NRL to get some money out of it. Being honest he is playing and using his talents in rugby league to provide for his family so money always comes first. Pretty sure he bought his mum a house with his first big contract.
But if the Knights are serious about his wellbeing they would seriously convince him to medically retire sooner rather then later as a long term thing.

I thought it was a great read... And it was good enough pressure to get the mistake.

Think you will find the McManus case will set a precedent that will see that clubs won't be sued in future it will make a joint fund to help guys with problems from historic cases, indemnify NRL future injuries because of the HIA etc...
