Some cool ideas. How good would it be if we could pull it off? I live in NZ so can't get to the games but it'd feel great to chip in for something like this.

Gags is gone to Softs. Stuff him, hes not worth the cash anyway.

Rossy on the other hand, would be good to see him stay!

Really mate,
The guy is owed huge respect from us gone or not... his stuck it out through 3 tough yrswhich has slowed his own career no doubt about it.

700k is huge money but u dont have 40yrs of earning the dollars so gotta take it why u can.
U wanna blame someone? Blame the club... there mess got us here and continue to let us down.

I was all for bagging the Sims', Dariass, BJ, Tapine, etc, but Gagai has always put in for us and I respect him for that. It's a shame he's leaving but if we put that 700k to good use and jag an Aaron Grey and another decent player then it's not so bad. Big IF, though.

It's a bit confusing. I just remember reading clubs can't ask a company to help a player out but perhaps there's still loopholes they use to attract TPA's. I'm not sure either lol.

They have to be at arms length. Can introduce as '88 says.

What happens is clubs have a bag man that isn't employed by them directly. This guy goes around leaning on local companies, I'm sure they have their contacts. The bag man generates the TPA's and these are then offered to players.

So say a club wants to sign Bird, they know roughly what they can offer him on the cap and the amount he is likely to need in TPA. Bag man does the rounds saying the club needs some additional support to the tune of $xxxx.

The companies sympathetic to the club then put their hands in their pockets and there you have it, sudden TPA.

The club then "introduces" the TPA company and manager.

The problem we have is that most of the largest local businesses actually sponsor us in some capacity, as stated by the club, so they cannot offer TPA! We need to get smart as a club and suggest to the 50-100K sponsors, that a TPA would benefit them and the club even more! This was a task undertaken by the "Knights of the round table" 18 months ago, still yet to see any fruit!

Mad dog could be a great tpa target for us.
