Membership prices still too expensive?

I don't think it should be such a massive incline maybe $20 at most from each bay heading towards the centre not just an instant $100 incline.

Yes, but that's over a whole season. Per game it's $8.33 difference - next to nothing.

More seating areas add to the workload for the club and probably makes it more confusing for potential members.

At the end of the day, have you been affected? No.

I haven't been affected Alicia, but I could have been affected if I did get reserved seats & didn't pay attention. I didn't relise the difference in decline until I saw it yesterday.

Well the issues been raised I wont need to discuss further more.

There's also the issue of protection from the rain and so forth that you might not be considering.

And on something you mentioned earlier: The complaints from people way back at the start of this years membership campaign in regards to the prices were by some of the fine folks who got community memberships last year.

Due to such a large amount of community interest, and I'm guessing too many people for too little seats, they gave some of these people seats in what are now gold/platinum areas of the Western Grandstand. As such, these seats returned to their regular prices for this season, and a few Joe Blows felt they were getting cheated due to the now massive hike in price. Naturally, these people failed to read the information/understood how lucky they were to score the seats for so cheap in the first place, and instead of accepting the straightforward explanation given to them from the Knights, they decided to go bawl their eyes out to the media and generate controversy because of their inability to function as full grown adults, and proceeded to act like toddlers in the hope of retaining something that was far beyond their means of possessing.

//endrant.

@Alicia - What are these people actually complaining about? The price? If so, it's probably moreso a cop out to just not go. They dont actually want cheaper tickets, they just want an excuse to not fork out money and go to the games.

Any actual knights fans who are on concession are more than likely stoked at the cheap prices - I know I am.

Yes. I'm a student paying for premium seat at concession rates (read my earlier post), and I'm more than happy with the price.

I was a bronze member who was shafted over to the GA section when Tinkler took over but I didn't really complain, I just got on with it, because I knew there was something better coming over the horizon. You've gotta take the good with the bad.

Plus for what you get with the train (@ Alicia), I do admit to having a ***** at the price of tickets but as I've said before you take the good with the bad. I save on fuel but put up with a range of undesirables and get stuck with crap like unforeseen delays.

I think the club has missed out on a huge opportunity with the uni population by not targeting the $90 memberships to the students - that's how good I think they are. I've seen flyers in the Superstore but not here on campus.

I think its more the fact that the $100 seats are cheap not that the $200 seats are expensive. At the beginning of the season you got to pick your seat and if they were all the same price the centre seats wouldvé went straight away and people who were happy paying the extra $100 might lose there spot n choose not to join. You become a member to support your club both emotionally and financially not just rely on a billionare to give you a seat.

@corner92 .... Spot on bud!!! I'm a gold member we have a family pass in bay 5 ( I know name says bay17 .. Wanted to b closer to action this yr hehe) for 12 days out a yr it is such value for money I could of paid more n been undercover but I chose to be closer to action n I do get wet .. But thts wat is all about different packages to suit the experience your after could of paid less n got ga family pass but fighting for a spot of grass does not suit me as at times with work n stuff I sometimes can only get there 20 mins b4 game ..

I'm a concession paying 100 reserved seating. I'm probably going to go to about 2-4 games this year. That's still great value.

If I lived in Newcastle, I'd had no dramas paying 270 or whatever for a premium seat.
