2026 Season

All the talk was that they had built on last year and were on the up this year.

So far, they have been poor.

Would be interesting if thats the AOB effect of “don’t drop it. Don’t make errors. Don’t drop it. Don’t drop it. Can’t afford an error”.

AOB has had a tough 12 months.

I still think they shot themselves. Sexton had come good, and was playing some great football, combining with everyone. Then Gus got his head turned by some guy he’s never even met or seen play. Move heaven and earth to get him in and farewell Sexton. Their treatment of Mahoney as well. Now Xerri drama. Stuff like that happens when clubs aren’t working properly. A little bit like the Hastings dramas - far too much of that became public. Touch wood, we’ve moved on from that era and our future looks a bit brighter.

There’s definitely something not quite right there.
Yeah if they don't turn it around . I think the media will be all over why they signed Obi as their attacking coach . I think he should have had twelve months off & relaxed .Already coping it on the kennel

4 on 2 overlap, and Atkins kicks it and doesn't even get it into the in-goal. Wow.

If the Panthers put 50 on the Storm, how much would they put on either of these two teams? 700?

That actually hurt to watch, I had to get up and walk away because it was just horrible

That was so bad, Flanno would be swearing delux

Someone needs to revoke my tipping license. I thought this would be the game where the Dragons would finally put on a decent performance.

Wow the Dragons are easily the worst in the comp, they need to blow up and go again, sack Shane, get rid of Kyle, Gutho (to old and slow gets beat a lot), I’d also get rid of Cook or at least have Cook on the bench and start with Liddle, amongst other things

How many of those points are from tries by Jenkins!

I think this explains the reticence to drop Kyle.
I think they would have been bad regardless. One of the predictions many were right about them. Even with the Cowboys being a bit fools good getting momentum from beating up on the Titans, their atrocious road form is always underestimated. The difference between their best and worst performances is being a Nobel Prize winner and being mugged by a hooker.

I think at the time plenty criticised the Eels/Ryles letting go of Gutho, not such a bad idea in hindsight.

But I think at the end of the season you have to have some serious conversations with Flanno, please explain etc. He's had full control of the roster for two years and they've gotten worse each year. It will be funny if the best year ends up being the first year with the inherited team lol...
These days it seems like if you've had a coach who's had an extension it doesn't matter, maybe it's the way contracts are where the payouts arent ridiculous depending on length of the deal.
