Jesse is legit ahead of where the rest of the NRLW is right now, her little subtle movements where she shows both in and out before straightening etc, I don’t think other girls have the experience playing with someone with that capability so they don’t run the kinds of lines you’d want off that to create some space for her. Sort of the reverse of why Isaiya Katoa is so effective without an elite running game, he’s playing to options that aren’t quite there in the same way for Jesse.

The core of a team that can win multiple comps is absolutely still there. The list is crying out for an elite front rower but losing Tamika & having to transition to a more halves-centric play style isn't killing our ability to attack at all.

Jesse, Georgia, Evah, Gallagher, Kayla, Tayla, Kirkpatrick, Yeo... the oldest girl on that list is 24.
