Knights land Peter O'Sullivan

I had a conversation with O'Sullivan once.
He was at one of our junior games with a mate and a player caught his eye. He asked his mate who the player was and his mate didn't know, so I said it's Rodney Mason, Willie's brother. Right then Rodney had a big charging run and dropped the ball as he hit the line. O'Sullivan said "yep, that's Willie's brother."

I live near Redcliffe nowadays, and so have been following them as my 2nd team. They have done really well with recruitment it seems. Hard to know how much of how they play is Bennett magic dust though

Article that goes through some of the players O'Sullivan poached from us like Inglis, Mitchell, Cordner etc.

Says that, unlike Zammit, he's relocating to Newcastle.

The article quotes Parr as saying O'Sullivan brought up the idea of moving to the Hunter and says a big part of his job will be identifying local talent and keeping them at the Knights.

Parr says O'Sullivan watches more football than anyone else he knows, so it sounds like no local player will go unwatched.

It’s looking like signing POS maybe one of the best signings the club has ever made.

Just about everyone else who has held the position has been a total disaster with maybe the exception of Mooney whose idea it was to chase KP initially.

I think keeping POS here indefinitely is going to be the key to long term success.

Just hope Gardner and his mates don’t do anything to **** him off.

Do we think that his position is long term or would he think once Knights are a success, moving up, GF appearances and a Title would be time up, job done, new challenge awaits at another struggling club.
If he has us as a strong club with lots of potential champions in the lower grade that he and Club for that matter might say job done and new challenges await, time to move on.

He'll do a job and go to the next club wanting a roster overhawl and prepared to pay for it.

We've had a dozen guys in his job, and they survive by keeping a great reputation, which means never outstaying your welcome. Once you get a bad review, game over.

Lets hope Wests are willing to pay him whatever it takes to keep him around longterm. The right money will keep anyone motivated.

So how does everyone think he's travelling so far?

Might be playing the long game but so far not filling me with a heap of confidence. Will Sullivan and Annan look a long way from helping first grade win games. Then you have the Brown vanity project.
