I was just looking at some stats and although I can only seem to get them working from when the forum moved to the xenforo software in March 2017, I can see that:

• May 2022 had the most forum posts since April 2018

and ...

• May 2022 and June 2022 had the most members active for the month since before the records start in March 2017!

When forums have been so hard hit by facebook, twitter, reddit etc over the last decade, it's really cool to see this place still thriving and - just as importantly - the members on here are damn cool people who create such a friendly atmosphere.

So I just wanted to say you're all awesome, and thanks for keeping this forum running! 😊

Imagine if we had a footy team that was any good! 😂
 
Thanks for creating a space for all us like minded ladies and gents to talk footy. If only our team had the heart and dedication of the members here we would be pretty unbeatable.

But on a very serious note....

It goes without saying that the atmosphere within this forum is also a strong reflection of the way it is moderated James....hat's off to you my friend for establishing the expectations, setting the tone and moderating with a common sense light touch and a good 'feel for the room' - you are a champion mate! 🏆🏆🏆

I’m just stoked the place is still so active!

Oh and I think the bills are due again early next year by the way 😂

Just had a look and our hosting expires on the 25th of Feb. 😬

Then the forum software on the 7th of April, but that's not as expensive, luckily. I can probably just pay for that. I did the marathonstadium.com domain a week or so ago, but that's nice and cheap.

Nice to see the board so active atm as well, this has been the most busy December/January for several years! 😊
 
Probably not a whole lot of competition yet in the form of Facebook groups, Twitter threads etc.
 
Yeah exactly, people tended to come to forums like this to chat about anything, facebook was still about friends posting photos, twitter wasn't really a thing ...
