You can say the exact same thing about the past 3 weeks. We took Melb lightly in the first half, gave up possession and Melb ran away with it. We took Broncos lightly and gave up possession and Broncos suck. We gave up possession against the Cowboys and they ran away with it.
So much for O'briens talk about them not going as good as they thought they were, they obviously wanted to prove him wrong. We have a great side this year, but we need to get back to the basics, let our big boys run it up the middle early & dominate field possession, and then let our fitness destroy teams in the second half.

100% right, and that's the thing that burns the most. We are getting beat due to our crappy attitude not outplayed.

It's a work in progress. They have learned that the Obi way will work, but got ahead of themselves. They learnt a big lesson yesterday. I'm expecting a much grittier display against the sea eagles.

If we were on from the start we blow them away easily...that second half shows how much points we had.
Attitude right from the start was not there, looked like they expected the win and not earn it. Hopefully they learn a big lesson from this.

We put the cue in the rack. No need to waste energy when the games already won :D

I like your cheek cowboyman, but the cowboys were outplayed in the second half.
The first half that being said, they were more up-tempo in the first half and rolled us.
Was actually impressed to see a cowboys game where they didn't rely as heavily on Taumololo.
If your lads use that game as a platform to build on there may be hope for you yet with Holmes and Morgan to come back.
You might even be able to sneak into 9th ;)

I wouldn't say they've learned a lesson until they prove it. 3 weeks of the same attitude proves they haven't learnt anything yet.

Yep, challenge for OB is turning the team around which hasn't been a feature of a Knights team in a long time.

This loss has been on the cards for a few weeks. I said last week if Brisbane could attack we would have lost. This week we turned up with the same attitude we have started games with last few, and the cows did attack and we lost.

Next week if we start the same, we will lose again.

So I’ve just re-watched the game again for my own viewing pleasure.

Shibasaki is bog average with Lee not far behind.

Taumalolo is just the GOAT. Not once was he driven back all game against Saifiti’s x 2 and Klemmer. Every kick off/drop out return was directly into at least 2 of them and he bent them backwards and each and every time. In the 72nd minute he decides to give Dan Saifiti a 25m and then some piggyback. He is a freak of nature and not one forward comes close to him in the game.

An absolute cruise control of a second half by the Cowboys. Knights diving coach their man of the match for 2 tries taken off the cowboys. Fitzgibbon has a clear shot on Marsters but pulled away at the slightest of bumps and Tuala got sent into orbit by a bump with the force of a feather. Marsters also was a bad bounce away from a try.

I now know the real reason Ponga skipped town for the bright lights of Newcastle. He could hear the Hammer coming. Smart career move on his behalf.

Oxford Dictionary will be in contact with CBM shortly requesting to use the above post as an example phrase for the word ‘smug’.

I was actually surprised at how confident people were about belting the cowboys, i for one certainly was not confident ad it's happened so many times in the past where we lost to the lower ranked teams.

Only good thing that come of it is that green won't be sacked and cowboys still stuck with him haha.

One of my mates is a true cowboys fan and text me to put a carton on it. I said no as my gut feeling had us losing by a margin after kickoff. Look what happened. Feeling the same about the manly game........hope I'm wrong.

Green is a SuperCoach. Devised the plan to take out the games biggest superstar (If the media is to be believed).

Did it all without his 2 international spine players.

Sign him up to a 10 year contract. The new Bennett.

You didn't play the dragons. Dufty would have put ponga to shame with his try assists on the weekend.

Oh I definitely cringing at some of the comments on here. Sure, be confident, but be prepared to have it slapped back into your face. On paper we “should” have beat them, but going into it I knew something bad was gonna happen and well yeah it was bad. That first half alone was a disgrace.

You’ve changed your tune on Green after one game.

Don’t know what you’re meaning here but I’ll be serious here and say half the comps fullbacks put Ponga to shame on a regular basis with their attitude and consistency.

Ponga’s moments of brilliance covers up his negatives and the media dare not question him because they love him.

How many above average games has he had this season? 3 maybe 4? So only half his games are above average and he is one of the top paid players now.

Compare that to the GOAT who goes out and take on whole forward packs week in week out. Averaging 250m a game. It’s unheard of.
