There's no way coach can leave Mann out after tonight… Hoy still has a bit to work on. He's a bit of a one trick pony and teams will work out his show and go pretty quick.

1. Ponga
2. Hunt
3. Tuala
4. Best
5. Lee
6. Mann (doesn't deserve the criticism he's been getting)
7. Pearce
8. Klemmer
9. McCulloch
10. D Saifiti
11. Sione (assuming Barnett is still out)
12. Fitz (Guerra)
13. Ese Ese

14. Randall
15. J Saititi (how good is he going!!!)
16. Glasby
17. Guerra (Jones if Fitz is out)

This team will be up for it.

Can’t change that team from tonight.

I’d start McCullough just to keep Randall hungry and a rest.

Mann was good defensively, and that’s what will matter most. Say Lino played 5/8, we probably lose.

Lino would have kicked those 2 goals Hoy missed

This is certainly the team for me. But OB won’t drop Mann because he did his best tonight and it was his lack of talent that cost us, not effort. But that same lack of talent has got him in the team three rounds in a row so unfortunately he ain’t going nowhere (yet).

How poeple are dropping Mann after that game is beyond me, got thrown in the deep end in the primary playmaker role which he has no experience in and handled himself quite well.
Yes he lacked execution a few times in offense but was tremendous in defence considering the size of those penrith boys compared to him. He is our number 6 for the year surely

Effort, attitude and leadership terrific this evening. Absolutely. But if we are going to be serious we need someone else in the halves who can win a game. He won’t be dropped yet but it will happen once another one of our real playmakers can show OB how well they can connect with Pearce and the team. Whether it’s injuries or COVID, that chance hasn’t happened yet. So Mann it is.

You are probably right.
Thinking about it, O'Brien mentioned again in the pre-match that hoy would make a good bench utility like Watson, and he said that after the 9s as well, so it won't surprize me if he drops Randy and uses Hoy at 14 - assuming Watson is out, but Watson would play with his foot put on backwards if we asked him to. He plays injured nearly every game.

surely Randy keeps his place if Watson is out? I’d probably go with Lino over Hoy for now if Mann was to be dropped. But he won’t be so moot point for us all.

Effort was there. If burton was our 6 we win by 20.
