It should be Pearce.

But he doesnt seem to be one that thrives as a leader.

Maybe Glasby primarily and then Pearce when he is off.

His best form this year came from when he & the team were under enormous pressure. In Origin he played second fiddle & didn't really do too much. For him it's about being a dominant on the ball halfback constantly around the play & competing for everything. Not necessarily to do with pressure. That being said, I completely get the calls for him to step aside as captain. With his form being a bit up & down this year & being our most important player, it would probably help to give the captaincy to someone else & let him concentrate on footy only, it doesn't mean he won't still be our on field leader.
 
Didnt klem do an interview recently where he talked about being captain and the need to keep cool, and he said he doesnt keep his cool?
 
Calm clearly doesn't work ala brown so perfect. Klem it is haha. Reminds me of James Graham, you need mongrel on the field.

It would drive the refs nuts.
They all still think he's a lunatic from the way he'd carry on in reserve grade.
 
If we are fair dinkum it should be Barnett and Sione as co-captains and interchange them so one of them is always on the field!
Actually that would work better if we had the Saifiti's as co-captains, yeah I've changed my mind, give it to the Saifiti's!
 
Depends on who we recruit over the offseason for mine. Pearce is the logical choice, but I think he needs to focus on his game than captaincy. It feels similar to when Freddie Flintoff was trying to be a top-line batter, bowler and captain of the English team, and it seemed to be too much for him (and fair enough). If we don't recruit a backrower and Guerra features more heavily in the team next year, then he's my pick. Good work rate, premiership and origin winner, and no nonsense from him.
 
Guerra or Glasby for me if Pearce doesn't want it although give it to Ponga being captain might make him want to stay more .
