You cant blame Watson for trying to trap the ball, it was flying and on a angle that made him play at it.
Just unlucky.
Yeah it was but I still think he should have dived on it . It couldn't have been a worse result lol.
I said when we bought Lino that the one game I had seen him play was last season (obviously) and he played great footy even the commentators said the Warriors hadn't missed Johnson with Lino there and he mentioned that game again last week , he was right Lino played great .

Was **** to watch, those refs shouldn’t be there IMO. Neither team knew what was going on by the end. Rubbish calls everywhere, for and against, it’s almost like they were paid to keep it interesting.
I’m pretty happy with how we went with mass changes. Was disappointed Jake didn’t get much time but was pumped with the way Herman stepped up. He cops a bagging but I like Lino & hope he keeps a place in firsts. Also enjoyed watching Phoenix Crossland, he’s pretty confident & looks likely for a good future player for us.
I’m disappointed because I love winning, but it’s not a bitter disappointment

I'm surprised we played Watson at fullback over Mann. Thought Mann has been really good in Pongas Absence. Think overall Watson had a great game, but none of it came from fullback, was nervous every time they kicked.

Watson didn't lose that game for us. The first 8mins after half time when we decided to go to sleep in defence did.

Thought Lino looked good. Fitzy is a tough bigger playing so busted for 80. Ramien isn't playing with any confidence which is disappointing

Absolutely horrible reffing performance all round.

I didnt expect we would get the points today with 5 down against a near full strength warriors side.

They did well to turn up, and play with spirit. Almost pulled it off.

Let's get Origin out of the way, get our squad back together and roll on.

We didnt lose any momentum from this game.

Definitely good signs with the attitude. Maybe I’m missing something but 9 mins for Saulo and 12 for Crossland???? Two bench players, next to zero playing time. That’s not good. I do like the confidence and how vocal Crossland was. I look forward to seeing more of him.

And the warriors were saints
They were all over us in the middle so naturally we were pushing the boundaries more to slow the play the ball down. Not saying the warriors were saints but it's happened 3 games in a row now where we are making way too many errors/penalties. That's not the refs fault

Apparently Brown finally gives it to the refs in the pressor.

Edit, it was just an interview and wasn't that good.

I disagree...if both teams are guilty then pin them both and we won't see lop sided penalty counts.

I have not seen us doing anything worse than the opposition the past 2 weeks yet we have been hammered in the penalties.

Refs won the game for the warriors tonight simple as that.

The Warriors no try was only a square up for at least 1 they were given as the result of an obvious forward pass.

Absolute gutter trash of a game. Completely threw the commitment and spirit from the first half out the window. Ramien has been utterly shocking this year, Hunt has been 10x the player. That right edge in defence was awful and the slide was non-existent - if you’re going to rush out, make the damn tackle.

The referees was disgusting. Can’t believe that no try to Maumalo. Or the forward pass from Nikorima not called. Or Hiku being knocked senseless and left there. We were lucky to only lose by 4. Let’s hope they play a full 80, otherwise the bloody Dogs of all teams will beat us.

Gotta give a wrap to big Herman, Sione and Fitzgibbon for their efforts tonight. Think Saulo needs more minutes, looks damaging when running the ball. The bench rotation is appalling by Brown too.
