Of the forwards that have played more than one game he is second behind Klem according to those stats. Ahead of Dan, Barnett, Gavet, Glasby, Sione, Fitz, King.

Third in total metres behind Klem and Fitz, which isn't bad playing 40 minutes off the bench.

My thoughts aint to Suit 1 player,
Your as simple as Sione can be at times.
( bigger picture )
Sione strengths could be used better to help the team elsewhere.
Tbh its the only option i have left that could see Sione make a longer career in the nrl.
The other ones used havent been inspiring for me.

How about we quit the personal stuff.

There are better back rowers, better bench players than Sione.

Why give him a spot when others are better options?

I said at the srart of the season that Sione has great leg speed and build for short stints at lock vs tired defense, id still like to see that given a go.
If we had momentum in the ruck and brought on Sione running at half gaps the flow on effects would be massive out wide.
I also feel his flaws in D would be almost zero in the middle as its a 2/3 man tackle every time so him running out would only be a beneficial thing as the tight ruck would have the second and third man hitting rught behind his first contact.
As you know i love the old style of D, fisrt in at the hip with the second up top, again something that i see working well for Sione.
Sione tackling at the hip sounds like concussion material to me

IMO Sione should be dropped and im one of his biggest supporters.
He has 2 problems I think (1) he has a decision making problem in defence (especially close to our line )and (2) he doesn't break the line often enough in attack infact he hardly even bends the line he gets driven backwards almost every time he gets tackled …
Imo Guerra and Barnett are both better backrowers than him , not saying he cant fix it he is still young but should be in reserves fixing it not firsts...

Do you actually think Guerra intimidates the opposition with his hit ups? You've got to be kidding me.
I reckon most players would rather Sione running at then than Guerra and they would rather be tackled by Sione than Guerra too .

Sione > 298 minutes 28 runs for 215 rm 139 tackles with 16 missed .
Guerra> 164 minutes 34 runs for 287 rm 104 tackles with 8 missed
Barnett> 157 minutes 35 runs for 284 rm 104 tackles with 6 missed
Those stats are enough to tell me that Guerra and Barnett should be in the side not Sione .

To me that shows we don’t use his side of the field at all

Not a lot in it per run, but can see we might need a change. We do complain that the ball isn’t going right, Ramien, so lack of ball means lack of runs, can see both sides even if Pearce and Ponga etc can’t.

Last two games ramien has been pushing infield to get his hands on the ball. One of those times he created a try himself from nothing. He must be as frustrated as Herman.

I think it's frustrating for everyone including us, Ramien is so very damaging

Even though he has seen less ball he still leads the tackle break count with SKD

Also averaging almost 100m a game which is pretty good considering he has to go looking for the ball....Imagine what he could do with good quality early ball

Most Tackle Breaks for the Knights

Jesse Ramien - 19
Shaun Kenny Dowall - 19
Kalyn Ponga - 15
Edrick Lee - 9
Lachlan Fitzgibbon - 7
Mitch Barnett - 5
Hymel Hunt - 5
Mitchell Pearce - 5

Keep on reading that Ramiens not getting any ball. Think he 13 runs last wk. A quick look across a couple of other games tells me that about average for a ctr

I remember last year when Guerra was starting side as backrow, he was running good lines off Pearce and then for reasons we moved him in lock which for me tired him down.
I like Guerra and fitz on the edge, would help our attack a lot. Pongas go to edge man Fitz then Pearce having his man Guerra.

The thing with Ramien this year is that he is having a lot of runs but they are mostly just scoots from dummy half or hit ups.
He needs the halves to put him through gaps or get him the ball where he is one on one with a defender.
This just isn't happening on the right side of our attack so far this year.

Agree. Guerra is great on an edge. Runs great lines and sure's up the edge in defence.
He had the same issue with the coach playing him in the middle at the Chooks.
