Front Rowers Please!

I went to the Q cup grand final and Kasiano started on the bench for Easts tigers. He was close to the worst player on the field imo. Made zero impact, a heap of errors and was targeted in defense.

Was coming back from a injury... Most forwards are rusty after 10wks off

Totes, his improvement under Bellache has been exceptional. He may only be a bench player at the Storm but he would probably walk in to most starting squads.
2 years ago he would have been an out-of-shape liability, but I'd be pretty stoked if he kept his playing weight where it is and his intensity up.

I'd rather a fit and angry Kasiano over Napa

Kasiano is only ever a bench style player.

Fair call, I should have said top 17 :D

There's a lot of haters out there, fair enough too based on his declining form over the last few years. I still reckon he has a bit of mongrel left in him though.

For the right price and in the absence of any better options in 2019, why not give him a season?
It'd be a similar scenario to us picking up Willie Mason: little to lose but plenty to gain.

Kasiano might be past his best but if we can pick him up cheap he’s an infinitely better option than King.

Was just about to state this. I was there too and when he came on he pretty much cost Easts two tries.

Can we argue that Kasiano ever had a peak or just lots of promise.

I dunno how to feel about kasiano. Maybe put the weight back on and be an impact prop but that's about it I think. Was unstoppable in his limited minutes at the dogs and created a lot of second phase stuff. Few errors in him but. Something we don't really need.

He had a couple of really good years at the Bulldogs. He still has something to offer. With his skillset he’d be a point of difference in our pack. Would definitely sign him.

When's the last time he had a good year I'll go against 88 and say I can't remember any this year and was poor last 3 years or so at Dogs. Not worth taking a punt on someone 2 supercoachs got little to nothing out of.

He had a really good year in 2015 but hasn’t done much since. Hasler got a fair bit out of him. He had great years in 2012 and 2015. He only had one year with Bellamy and spent a lot of it injured so it’s hard to judge him too much.

Kasiano's never been the same since Matt Hilder poleaxed him:). Hilder mad a mistake and minutes later he smashed Kaiano one on one causing a lost ball then Bennett hooked him.

You know you’re struggling when some are wanting to sign Kasiano.

You’re better off going with youth that have signs of promise then a overweight lump that will never amount to the potential he has.

Not sure if the Eels will have to shed players for 2019, but I'd be happy for us to pick up Daniel Alvaro. He was great for them last year. Otherwise, Addin Fonua-Blake could be another one. Either of those two to join Klemmer (if we nab him) and we'll be looking the goods for next year with some depth players being picked up also.
