old boys award - Guerra
community award Ponga

All 4 guys started here just this year, incredible looking back at how grim it was looking at the back end of 2017.

That is probably the thing more than metres, post contact, etc. that really impressed me with SKD. He is usually taking first or second hit up out of our end and his speed of play the ball with 3 and sometimes 4 forward tacklers looking to drive him back is quite exceptional...it is one thing that Dan S needs to improve on dramatically in his game - everything else is really developing well but he is definitely one of the slowest in the league for speed of play the ball, which negates some of the good carries and post contact metres he achieves.
It's a bit of a myth about Dan's play the ball speed he does look slow sometimes I just had a look at last four games last two games for the season he was around 11th in our side for average play the ball speed the two games before that he was 3rd quickest in our side not bad for a man of his size.

Either Guerra or Ponga could have won the Danny Buderus medal and both would have been deserving.

Guerra gives 110% every game and you can see he is completely spent at the end of the games. Ponga has been brilliant all year.
