See Frank?

Some of us still believe we can make the eight! With Junior fit we could have won two more games, including last night!

We’d of definitely beat the Titans and Roosters if he was there. I think we could of beaten the Panthers at a pinch aswell.

You don’t realise just how important a really good kicking game is until it’s gone.

The next 4 games are extremely important and I think that we’ll win 3 of them which will take us to a 9-9 record

The Eels are truly awful, that's a gimme. I had expected the Dogs pack to give us a hiding but if this new attitude isn't a mirage they won't have enough points to beat us. Titans I think will be close and not expecting anything from Storm.

After that another two winnable games against the Cows, whose season will be over at that point, and the Tigers.

The last month we probably don't win a game. Warriors, Panthers, Sharks all away, then Dragons at home.

Probably finish on 11/12 wins and miss out on finals due to horrendous F/A. Season summed up, we'd be playing finals if Pearce didn't get hurt.

That sounds about right. I’m banking on the hope that with Pearce and Saifiti back and the fact that we are (fingers crossed) starting to gel as a team on both sides of the ball that we can start competing with the top teams regularly. We did last night missing plenty and with Buhrer going down. Hopefully it’s not a one off.

Penrith and the Warriors over there will be too tough but surely we fire up against Cronulla after they embarrassed us a couple of weeks ago.

If the Dragons have their annual late season fade coupled with Old Boys day I’d give us a good shot of beating them too.

Long story short I can’t see us losing again ever.

The defence was the best for the year so far.
A very good side threw a lot at us and we handled it for 80 minutes.
Our attack just came down to a couple of players doing some outstanding work, although the others were trying.
Griffin's slow service is starting to **** me. I'm sure he was quicker when Pearce was there, although he didn't have to think about it with Pearce - just give him the ball.
I might be being abit too optimistic but I still think we’re a good chance for a top 8 finish. The next 4 games are extremely important and I think that we’ll win 3 of them which will take us to a 9-9 record with Pearce, Dan Saifiti and Ross back on deck.

Just a matter of winning the games we should which we have been doing this year.

Melbourne are beatable ATM as well IMO, hopefully Bronco's give them a good physical match.

Reality is last nights game was winnable if even one of our injured had been fit.
There also needs to be a rethink about how we use the Bench , why hold Heigington and Lillyman till the end , send them in early as battering rams , the minute they don’t run it up hard and straight or miss an assignment in defence roll out Esse and Co. This way you know that they have made their full contribution.

Thats be realistic for a second.
Storm have a massive pack, our pack is falling apart.
So we will get dominated in the middle and have a poor kicking game to try counter it.
Im expecting a bit of a long night.

Bulldogs have a massive pack, ours will probably be worse by this game.
Yes they couldnt score 20pts vs windale but if they have all the field position and all the ball we wont score points either.
Expect this to be a tight game on the score board with a toss of the coin to the winner.

Parra have been a busted arse all year and ive tipped them about 10 times just expecting them to finally kick into gear.
Peace will be back and that will make us a much more composed side, though again its a toss of the coin atm until we see how parra go after winning last night.

We should wallop the titans at home.

That leaves 6rds and 5 very tough games and you could say 6 tough games if the cowboys turn it on.

Id be suprised if we reach 20pts.

The crunch is the pack, lack of size and strength up front, Esee can't carry them on his own, Heighinton has now reached second best prop available followed by King with Lillyman dropping away.
Reality hurts

Yep, our pack is really weak atm.
With 250kg of Saifiti boys out injured and our back up props are either sub par or just a bit to old and tired up against 6'5 120kg Jesse Bromwich and that 7ft 10inch 130kg Solomona plus that other 6'6 130kg Kasiarno we are about 50kg down on them plus a truckload of skill.

Our forwards were great last night. Lack of composure and one or two mental lapses in D to blame

The Storm tighten the screws a lot more than the Roosters do.

Imo the Roosters played poorly and really didnt get out of 3rd gear.
Our boys tried very very hard which we should all be proud of them for it.

But if the storm want to send a message to the other clubs? I bet u we will be the team on the receiving end of that message.

Smith will have us by the jatz crackers from kick off to fulltime and the pack around him will make sure of it.

I hope we knock them over i really do...i picked the Storm and Roosters to be 2 of the sides that could miss the 8 when most would expect to see them deep into September.

Ese will get belted all night as he will be the target for them to shut our meters down.
The other guys just dont have it in them to pick up the slack.

Brown will need a great game plan to give us a chance.
Id play on the edges and have a lot of movement down the short sides to try keep the game out of the middle.
Id also kick early and find touch a lot to limit the returns and get a rest plus a set line.

If we play into the middle the storm will have a blast.

The Roosters weren’t poor at all last night. I know that’s normally the go to excuse when we get close to an opponent that are good but it wasn’t the case last night. Their forwards were very good and their attack looked pretty slick. Both sides were stuffed by full time.

Confident and at home mate we'll give them a good run, all things being equal storm by 6.

One of my frustrations man, according to 80% on here we are only good when the opposition are bad.

I thought Griffin had a great game and Levi was ordinary and his service was shocking

Please, the Roosters on song should put 30 on us.
Imo Griffins shot on the line to save a try was the moment that made it a contest in the second half.
If they scored that try, they would of run away very easy.
Pretty sure everyone thought after 3 minutes that we were in for a long night, but the Roosters didnt put the foot down at all, they did enough to get the win and im Sure Robinson would of been filthy with the team behind closed doors.

They should have but they didn’t. We turned up for each other time and time again.

Th roosters were sucking in the big ones at full time. Full strength we win that game.

Some forwards were great. The props is where it matters and we have 1 fit that does a good enough job. The other 2 are over the hill but making ends meet and Josh king well....... Not much to say really. Our engine room is the problem atm.

They didn’t put 30 on us because we aimed up. Our online defence was great, they’re set plays were on point and passes we’re hitting the mark. You can deny it all you want but both teams played well.
