Haha absolutely amazing shot by Brown. Bennett is by far the biggest ego in the game. Good to see someone put him in his place.

Didn't see the game but great to see the Knights win. Broncos in all reality without the luck and refs help in round 2 and 3 should be 0-5. Sadly they will get by throughout the year with said luck and notch a few more wins and be close to the 8.

Knights looking like a lower to mid table team that could beat a top team on their day. Next year is the year for top 6 aspirations. But good to see some steady wins flowing through the club now.

I thought the intent was really good tonight which is something we need consistently.

I think Billy made a good point about not putting teams away, we were lucky to get away with that one.

I think Ponga has been great, but does anybody else think he needs to bring the ball back from the kick a bit better? As in just pick a line and go for it. He’s strong enough and quick enough he will bust a tackle or two.

No, personally I'm happy with him getting the ball and sizing up the defenders running through to see if there is any option for a break. I do wish he would get his kick off's a little deeper in to the in goal a bit though.

Our Forwards won the battle... Great to see... Our attack was a little off again, I'll give Lamb a pass mark... just.. Need to watch the game on tv first miss so much at the game.

Bring on the Storm!

I think we can beat them as well as long as we improve our attack and keep our D like tonight, they will score more poi9nts than the broncos though.

I really enjoyed us getting 3 in the tackle and driving players back, we were up for this game menatally and physically.
As much as I'd love for us to 'run away' with a game... thats going to take a while... If it wasnt for a SKD brain freeze moment lol and a couple dodgy calls by the refs we could have had them at 0.

Still to keep a team to 0 for 40 mins is a good effort for our team, honestly we are ahead of where we should be

well it was a game that never really reached any great heights, two sides about as good (or bad) as each other that I don't believe will play semi-final football this year, still it's nice to see our home ground becoming a bit of a fortress again...

Before this game i was highly unimpressed by Lillyman though last night he was brillant.

Now Barnett, people will hammer me for this but idk.
Aggressive player yes, but besides running out of the line to try put big hits on he was poor.
If his name was Sims the knives would be well and truly out for him.
Injured or not he shouldnt be in the 13 atm.
For our "supposed pack leader" who is averaging 46 minutes a game.
59m 23tks 3.3mt a game is chithouse.
I hope its just injury thats holding him back cause we need aggression by the bucket load though no middle forward should keep a starting spot on those numbers.

Next weeks pack im hoping to see.
8 D Saifiti
9 Griffin
10 Lillyman
11 Fitzgibbon
12 Guerra
13 Ese

14 Buhrer/Levi
15 Barnett
16 Heighington

Our pack can go forward and stop the offload they responded really well. Need two good experienced props for next year. Sam burgess please.

I think you’ve summed that up pretty well. Lillyman lead froncthe front by taking that grub Lodge on personally, and that was great to see.

I know what you mean with Mitch, he has a lot of work to do he’s not the greatest footballer but I think he will come good with some experience and coaching. Needs to mature.

The Griffin/Levi combination worked as well as everyone thought it would.
Griffin was our top defender, and I thought his time at dummy half was also higher quality because he didn't have to save energy to last 80 minutes.
Between them Griffin and Levi got through 63 tackles and kept the pressure on the opposition with quality dummy half work for 80 minutes.

The playmaking trio of Pearce/Lamb/Ponga also worked better with Lamb and Ponga swapping sides during the game and making the opposition defence think about what was coming, rather than knowing that Griffin was looking for Pearce and no one else.

Kenny Sio worked well with Ross. He will never be a star, but he makes the most of what talent he has by making really good decisions and very few mistakes.

Brown said that was the best game the team has played since he has been here, beating a very good side who turned up to play. I think he is right, and I think there is a lot more improvement in the side still.

Sio was fantastic imo, does everything right time and time again, yes he doesnt engage with the crowd a la Ross but he does the job correctly with minimal mistakes.
Ross did a couple of good things like the tap back and a good hitup though he wasnt the best centre on the field for us last night.

Sio and Moga couldn't be more different.
I don't want to judge Moga too harshly because he had very little pre season and clearly needed a lot of time to fit into a new side, but right now, Sio is a much, much better fit for the side.

Great game, good to see us stick it to Wayne.
Lillyman had his bet game for us yet, hopefully he does that every week now.
Levi, Griffen combo was awesome, Levi has earnt his spot in the team for next week.
Ross was good a centre he has also earnt his spot for next week.

The defence by the entire team was a massive improvement aswell.
If our defence keeps improving like that each week, we will be hard to beet.

I have been slightly disappointed with Lillyman but that was his best game so far, everyone seemed to lift. Ross to centre and Sio worked well, SKD, what was he thinking leaving the ball, the other incident he obviously was in two minds to catch it and run, catch it with foot over the dead ball line or just let it go and did none of them, overall he had a good game and along with Sione ran the ball out strong and often. Lamb looked more settled and everyone played strong.
Like 88 think we need to drop Buhrer or Levi and bring in bigger body, JSaf (how did he go in res) or King for his aggression.

Now I have been a pretty harsh critic of Ross dogs this year but he was quiality last night in def he was amazing good runs from dummy

Anyone else think sione was pretty solid last night. Nothing awesome but seemed to hold position better and ran hard in attack.

He and Lamb again had some issues with bad reads, Lamb plants his feet and come in to the decoy runner a lot because he is scared he wont be able to tackle the bigger man, leaves sione and skd on their own with 3 v 2...

Sione also rushed up a couple times and came up with nothing... With ball in hand he looked good.

Both were much better than last week and they will need to be even better against the storm who Cam Smith just roasted his team mates about ball control... He really gave it to his team so expect themt o be fired up!

We have 3 difficult away games and we ned to win a couple of them to stay in the 8.

As for Lamb, he was calling the ball and not getting it sometimes when he could see we had an overlap so he has to go to those players and yell at them like he did last year "I called the ball pass it to me we had the numbers!"

Also when he was on the right, Sione and SKD are too flat when Lamb gets the ball so its not his fault he isnt getting those passes away!
