Tevita Pangai Jnr

Gillett is horrifically overrated. Misses heaps of tackles and offers next to nothing in attack.

Every bit as good/better than any 2nd rower we have but not worth 1mil, not an issue think he will stay at Broncos hopefully use up lots of money leaving less for Pangia giving us a better shot at him.

SHARKS JOIN GROWING LIST FOR PROP

Brisbane prop Tevita Pangai Junior is the most in-demand forward in the game.

Market Watch can reveal Cronulla are the latest NRL side to join the race to sign to sign the 22-year-old.

The Sharks have joined the Roosters and Knights in their bids to sign 113 kilo prop.

The Sharks have three forwards off-contract this season including veteran Paul Gallen who is tipped to finally hang up the boots at the end of the year.

The Knights have made no secret of the fact they have money to spend and two veterans in Jacob Lillyman and Chris Heighington unsigned beyond 2018, while the Roosters are also in the market for another prop and have money to spend.

While the smart money has the Broncos holding onto the Sydney product, they’ll be forced to spend up big to keep him.

As one of the most exciting young middles in the game, it should come as no surprise, Pangai Junior has attracted so much interest.

A former Newcastle lower grader, the Junior Kangaroo played 20s for Canberra before moving to Brisbane in 2016 where he made his NRL debut.

I wouldn't mind the Sharks getting him to give the middle finger to the broncos for snatching away that lemon Bird.

How the roosters continue to get linked to players is beyond me.

It ain't hard R_A.

Rorting TPAs, a cheat of a CEO suspended for his crooked dealings at Manly makes it all very simple.

Shaun Lane this guy is going ok and isn't signed for next season 6'6" and 115kg he is big and mobile and wouldn't be too expensive either watched him closely the other week and he is going good ....

Pangai needs a coach like Wayne.
He didn't thrive under Stuart and Brown wouldn't be right for him either.
He has always had unlimited potential, but I've watched him pretty closely in many lower grade games for the Knights and Canberra, and coach after coach have roasted him for showing little passion and effort.
The more the coaches get on his case, the worse he goes.
Wayne is really good at treating players with respect and getting them to want to have a go, and his approach has worked with Pangai.
My feeling is that Pangai is an obstinate character who would clash with Brown, as he did with Stuart, and most coaches he has worked with.

I agree, other clubs will just poach the other plays like the Titans did with Taylor and Arrow and like we did with Ese Ese.

Lodge is still a way off receiving an extension anytime soon but the above can still apply anyway with other players the broncos have

It'll teach them to be smarter then to offer Boyd $1m a season

It's funny what you have mentioned is a spitting image of BJ Leilua and it seems that's how he's panned out

Nobody needs a coach like Wayne he needs to retire

You brought this bum up a few weeks ago, his not worth 100k so why would we bother?
3 teams in 3yrs and 20nrl games says it all.
6'6 115kg of limp ****
Id rather give 100k to Sam Stone an let him develop in our system to be our next best thing.

Lol. Relax. You might not be a fan of his for whatever reason, but he’s definitely a fringe first grader at the very least. He started a few games last year and flashed at times and has now cemented himself a bench spot this year. $100K is like end of the 30 man squad salary. This guy is easily #16 to #21 in most NRL squads. He may not be a shoe in starter or a shoe in to be the first guy or two picked on the bench, but he’s definitely good enough to be a bench backrower, has proven he can hold his own and contribute as a spot starter if need be, and if your squads strong enough to have him on your extended 4 man bench and not playing, than he’s great depth to have. $100K would be a bargain for him considering the minimum salary for your 30th man is $75K I believe.

He looked pretty handy at the Bulldogs a few years back. Haven’t seen much of since then.
