2017/2018 Knights Player signing speculation

Apparently he's upset because he was promised the fullback spot next year before Tedesco signed, so wouldn't really make sense for him to come here, other than Newcastle being close to home. I suppose Brown could try to get him to play the running 5/8 role that Bird was going to play, but I think it's more likely he'll end up at Souths or Bulldogs.
 
It's funny how people here are saying Tolman is no good he won't win us games and we should be going for match winners .....

List of 'high profile' players who have said said to coming here. So I ask how's that approach going ?

Forwards are there to lay the platform in defence and attack and if they have a bit of X factor that's a bonus, but if you ask me I want my forwards running hard and tackling their arses off and I'll leave the chip kicks to the halves ......

I'm the only one who said Tolman won't be winning us a game and I wasn't excited by the news that he might be a signing. The mere mention of Latrell Mitchell's name did excite me. It won't happen but the thought of him bursting into wide open spaces in a red and blue jumper got my juices flowing.

Well what's the point of getting excited when you know it won't happen?

Names like Tolman and Vete excite me because they're an upgrade on Starling, Toupo and Stockwell. Sure I'd rather Graham or Scott or Napa but it's a process and signing Tolman is progression ......
 
On the note of Mitchell we're probably a better chance of getting him than some of the other targets due to Kempsey being just up the road ......

His a knights junior whom had Hagan and co tell him he wont be a first grade footballer and told he he wont be required at age 15.
Fast forward 5yrs and we think we can just say come home we need u?

He would laugh at us.

Well Parra told Moses he was too small for first grade and he can't wait to get back there .....

Every situation is different who knows Ben might come back and if Brown wants him I'm sure he will speak to him ......
 
Mitchell played in the Australian schoolboys side captained by Jack Cogger that included Lamb and Robson. They toured England and France, so would have formed some bonds.
 
Personally I wouldn't go for him but if we did we could offer him money and a chance to be close to home, that's 1 more reason to come here than the other targets we've missed out on ......
 
Where did the Latrell getting shopped around rumour even come from? Would love him here if he became available. Roosters would be mad to let him go after signing him until 2019. Even though he's had 2 or 3 poor games regarding some defensive issues he's still won them games single handedly and had a great start to the season. Last year he had a great rookie season. We may have told him that he was lazy 5 or so years ago but what we do have is the money, very short drive back to Taree and we're chasing a sizeable back. I'd have him over SKD in a heartbeat and he could cover anywhere from 1-6.
