The pressure NRL players are under... PIP topic.

Hi guys, so some of you may have read before as I have mentioned on here elsewhere that I am in year 12 and for Society and Culture we have to do a PIP (Personal Interest Project) which the mark will go towards the majority of my HSC score for SAC. So of course being the footyhead I am, had to have mine revolved around the NRL. I have narrowed down my topic to more or less be based on the pressure that players recieve from the media, and the public.. which will be further in depth under the topics such as:
- The price of making it (the arguement, 'but it's what they're paid for')
- They're just human
- The media and increase of technology
- Change in times.. society has changed into a "fast food society" as well as the change in generations, how players no longer need a second job and what not.
- 'the bad eggs' the minority not the majority and what causes them to be that way.. is it the pressure? are we causing players to develop things such as depression.

So in order to do this, I need a hell of a lot of information, so anyone that can help me out or have any tips it would be muchly appreciated!
As part of our PIP, we need to undertake some methodologies to be used as part of our information. For mine so far I have chosen interviews and surveys.
I'm yet to set up interviews, as I'm looking for players, ex players etc.
But it would be so muchly appreciated if anyone could take the time and fill out this survey for me. It's quite responsive, so it may take time, but I'm ever so greatful if I even get one response.

You'll have to give us a look at the project once it's all done!!! I'd be interested in reading it.
 
Did it aswell, gave me a good oppurtunity to whinge about players treatment by the media.
 
If you are looking for a players opinion I can ask one of my mates to help you out, he plays for the dolphins and just finished pre season with the broncs.

Accepted I will flick him a mesage explaining it. Don't be afraid to ask about other players he used to play fleg with Maloney. Mention Jack Reed and Matt Gillett aswell we use to play with them back in 16s/17s as he just finished training with em. Good Luck!
 
So the past two weekends I was able to get in touch with my uncles friend who happens to work with the grounds, mainly Newcastle and Sydney for league matches, I think he could be something along the lines of grounds manager/time keeper etc. anyway he was able to get me into the post march press conference for the rabbits v knights game, was very interesting and not how I expected they were run. Unable to get interviews as he said Sydney are often strict with security, but I was still able to go down the tunnel and what not. He set up for me to go to the Newcastle v manly game where I was able to go on the sideline and interview mark Hughes and Marc glanville for my pip, they were very interesting and gave long in depth answers for me. I was also able to go into he press conference again, andin the tunnel and what not. Now I'm still searching to interview players of today, I've left it late I know but thought I'd give an update incase anyone was interested :)

Anyone who hasn't done this and has the time, it would be so greatly appreciated, i need some heavier stats for my PIP... which I've left a little late. And any one who has input or information regarding the impacts of the increase of expectations by society on NRL, how the increase of these expectations has changed society, the effects it has on society more so, please feel free to fill me in! haha, thanks again everyone who has taken the time to help, its muchly appreciated!
