Hopefully we dont loose him for the rest of the season! Thats the last thing we need going into the Finals!

He should be having an MRI on the knee tomorrow.

Doubt he'd play next week. It wasnt as bad as first feared, according to the doc its apparently just ligament damage.

Massive blow if we lose him.

Wouldnt mind seeing Hilder or Ndaira at Hooker if ruled out. Though i think Ndaria should be hooker, looked pretty good when he came on to replace De Gois earlier this season.

I'd start Hilder at Hooker and bring Ndaira onto the bench.

I'm praying for a miracle that De Gois is ok though.

Sounded on the radio coverage that it was pretty bad at first, saying they were calling for the stretcher and all, but the later reports were as you say, not as bad as first thought. Fingers crossed for next week, and beyond!
I'd have Hilder at hooker other wise.

it didn't look too great...made worse by the fact that after he first tried to walk off the field, he couldn't and had to get helped off by the two trainers. will be a massive massive blow

Did he do a worse injury when he went off the second time? If it was just an aggrivation of the first injury, then I reckon he'll be fine.

I'm expecting him and Taia to both play next week.

Isaac De Gois to have scans on a knee injury. Second-rower Cory Paterson suffered visual distortion, while Matt Hilder suffered a head knock and Marvin Karawana also suffered a leg injury. Zeb Taia, though, should be available for selection on Tuesday.

Wow, long casualties list there.

The way he got carryed off the field , didn't look good . Hoppefully he will be okay if not Ndaira will be a good replacement .

Joey reckons De Gois is all but ruled out this weekend, according to his blog.

Whether he is going off yesterdays game or something he knows, just quotes it as a 'huge loss'.

He wouldn't find out til tomorrow anyway if he went for scans today?

Ahh I hope it's ok, but didn't look too good.

He'll get the report today, but we want know till tomorrow probably, when he sees the team Doc.

Joey all but has him gooone for this week.

EDIT:

Meanwhile, the Knights have been boosted in the build-up to Saturday night’s clash with the Bulldogs with injured hooker Isaac de Gois not as bad as first thought and given a real chance of taking his place in the starting lineup.

De Gois has been cleared to resume light training. Hopefully he'll be right to go by the end of the week.

Injured Newcastle Knights hooker Isaac De Gois ready for Bulldogs

Newcastle Knights hooker Isaac De Gois says he genuinely feared his season was over as he was being carried from the field with a knee injury against Penrith on Sunday.

But in less than 24 hours, De Gois was given fresh hope he will play in the Knights' finals clash against the Bulldogs on Saturday.

Scans on the injured knee on Monday revealed no major structural damage to ligaments or cartilage and he has been given the all clear to continue training.

"There was some previous damage there that was apparently causing a problem," he said.

De Gois cautious despite clear scan

- Stone said Newcastle would give De Gois until later in the week before he was assessed.
- Taia - waiting for medical clearance.
