The way Fien has been playing, I'd have Marshall at halfback, and Ben Roberts at 5/8.

But both are terrible options.

Oh, my kingdom for an NZ born halfback!!!

If Hohaia at 5/8 works out well this time around, Marshall and Hohaia might be the go with Locke or Perrett going to FB.

Yep, quite true. Hohaia was good last night, with few opportunities.

What has happened to Brent Webb, is he playing again yet? I'd say he would still be first choice fullback, if fit.

ben roberts has been on fire of late, i think mannerings best position is backrow, i rekon nightingale will be in the squad aswell.

Having Marshall and Roberts in the halves together would not be a good idea, they're both instinct players, you need to have an organiser in there.

i agree with you but Hohaia isn't what you call a structured player either, he is also an off the cuff footballer.

Probably not gonna happen.

Marshall is developing into a first receiver/organizer. Surely organizing cant be that hard. The dummy half should be able to organize the forward pack. I think the Kiwis problem is their kicking game. I think Slater is making monkeys out of peoples kicking game as he is probably the best fullback known for his positioning and something every team these days tries to stop.

I see in Little League this week that Eddy Pettybourne is a Kiwi. I'd have him in my squad, I reckon he's going great guns for Souths.
