I know he's not liked,me specially at Newcastle but he has been a very good player for Storm, QLD and Australia over a long period

Good, now we don’t have to put up with him playing for Queensland and the Kangaroos only the Storm. Hopefully his full retirement from the game is not too far away.

Had to switch from Fox league channel to the Simpsons for the kids... don’t think I’ll bother again this week as all the shows will be dedicated to this grub.
The refs will be clueless out there now, with no one to tell them their job & how to do it, I wonder if they’re having crisis meetings now

He is a great player has to go down as one of the most durable of all time. While I still prefer Danny would never complain if Cameron was on my team. That said the timing of this feels a little weird is he injured? has something happened off field? He was so adamant that he wasn't going to go out with Thurston and Cronk was going to break it up so it wasn't all at once.

Had to laugh when I saw that this morning. Because he totally chose to retire. Better to 'retire' then have Ponga picked at fb over you next year

Posted earlier he was asked to 'cover' for Slater and train with the Qld rednecks. He told the selectors if he was not good enough to be picked in the seventeen, he was taking his lady to NZ for a short holiday which he did.

Decision was made two weeks ago he would never be selected to be an Origin player again.

Apparently they wanted him in as cover at training last camp while Slater sat out all the sessions, he refused because he had planned a get away & Kevvie wasn't happy. Ponga & Milford only called in when they knew Slater was out & Boyd wasn't coming. So looks like he still had a future with them but they've blacklisted him after that & he's retired as a you can't fire me, I quit type of thing.

Unless QLD had injuries to literally every available fullback at their disposal I still think they wouldnt have picked him
