Same guy, played at the sharks twice, storm, manly, parra
I could well be and if we sign 2 good props plus Vave then I’m fine with not signing Matterson, but signing Vave is the situation as last year when we passed up on other solid players like Matterson because we were chasing ‘marquee props’ but we ended up with Lillyman & Heighington.
I can see what they’re doing, they’re saving their pennies for the big name players they want and if they can’t get them they’ll just sign a stop gap solution and wait for the next year.
Vave is from the Penrith area ( Mt Druitt ) but never played grade for Penrith. The bloke gave me nightmares when I used to play him, ran over me a few times lol
If they're interested they may need to move quickly...
You asked if or was there another vave in the nrl from Penrith,
Being his the only vave of the past 5yrs i said its only him, played for sharks, storm, sharks, manly, parra.
I never asked anything

simillar but spelt differently https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paterika_Vaivai
Its depressing but Vave is the best prop on the market.
I think we should sign him he will be a good bench option and won't break the budget.
If we happen to nab some better props he will be good in reserves.
We need atleast some depth if no one else becomes available.
He had a better year this year than Lillyman, J.Saf and King.
Ava Seumanufagai was a good solid prop at the tigers but is now stuck behind a pretty solid front row at the sharks.
If I were brown I'd defiantly be asking the question on his availability
Can't say I'm a fan of Big Afa
Kade Snowden is over his injuries and played some second div this year, and has started training to play real NRL next year.
Still 5 years younger than Chris Heighington.
And has half his pace
Geez, hasn't he fallen off the radar.
Sounds like he's playing just for fun these days. Wonder if he could be tempted to make a comeback?
Yes he used to run at half pace.

And yet was still the best prop we've had for some years.
Who would be our best props of the last 10 years? Struggling to recall many.
And hey no to ways with Snowie got his 100m plus per match which hasn't been matched by many of our lads.
Wouldn’t be the worst option to fall back on if he’s keen to return to top flight footy and 100% over the injuries which forced him out.
The only people who'd know if he was up to it would be Kade and his doctor, but i'd back him to push his way to firstgrade if we gave him a second tier contract and he was uninjured.
He's basically been out of the game for as long as Willie Mason was, and Willie came back reasonably well for an old guy.
He was medically retired wasn't he? Dont think he'd be able to come back even if he wanted to
