A few here say Napa goes missing but he is good enough for the chooks and they have been and are a better team than us .

Ahh my mistake, what I’ve heard is he will be a knight next year. Let’s see if it plays out that way or not. But it’s from a reliable source

It makes no sense unless the roosters have been shopping him around privately. Why is there a cooling off period unless he’s contracted lol

Still doesn’t make sense cap wise how they can fit all the players underneath with Critchon coming but anyway...

If you look at their squad closely they really have no depth at all, they're a few injuries away from being in big trouble

Also guys play there for unders for the lifestyle of living in the East

You've caught his good game, won't get another for six weeks.

You can knock Napa all you want, I ain't a fan, BUT, he is the type we need, big, strong, gets fired up, well at least sometimes. We don't have many options and we need big damaging props he fits the bill, not ideal but with the right cost, contract and attitude he could work out for us, take what we can get.

well he is contracted at the Roosters next year for reportedly $700k. I see that as overs on current form.

$700k is definitely overs for Napa. He played great on the weekend and if that form were consistent, you could maybe stomach him on that coin. That’s just not the case though. He’s not that consistently impactful. That’s one of the better games I recall watching him play, and even still, it was only defensively. He didn’t offer near the go forward that Taukeiaho or JWH did, his front row partners. He’s an absolute hitman in defence but offers little in attack. That’s just what he is. So essentially, he’s really good at one half of the game and that’s it, and he’s only good enough at that aspect to be really good overall maybe 1 out of every 5 games (just spitballing). Don’t get me wrong, I like Napa and would 100% take him, but not on $700k. If he’s your star forward, you’re in trouble.

He reminds me a bit of Tolman in that regard. Middle of the road, getting by on reputation but on the downward side of his career.

I'd happily sign him, but yeah, $700k is just baby-town frolics.

Not sure I agree on that he's on the downward side of his career. He only just broke into the Qld origin last year (and performed great) and is only 25 years old. He will be a mainstay of origin for the next 6 or 7 years and his best years should be ahead of him.

I think 700k is about his price though, given he'll be the 1st prop picked for Qld and the high demand for props this coming off season. Whether we should be paying that is for smarter people than me to decide.

The refs invented a rule to get rid of him tonight. That’s historic.

When he’s on he is scary.

You would definitely avoid running at him.
