It’s a massive blow no doubt but it gives whatever Cogger/Lamb/Watson a chance to stand up. All 3 have shown glimpses of their quality in First Grade. We’ve got a bunch of winnable games coming up most of which are at home and we’re always better at home. If our forwards show the commitment they did against the Broncos and Tigers we’ll certainly be competitive.

The guys who were doing well for us last year need to step up. The Saifiti’s, Barnett, Ross and Sione have all shown some improvement in recent times and will need to step it up again.

If all 17 of them can pick up their games just abit we can cover the loss of Pearce. Lamb is more suited to leading the team around the park as a dominant playmaker so it’ll be his chance to shine and get a contract.

Last night was a great effort. If we can do that on a weekly basis we’ll be in with a good shot every week.

Well we know if we need a try to win Buhrer can jag a kick and SKD can catch 1 in 3

Not being optimistic doesn't make you a bad supporter, i'm just realistic.. again other have said no top 8, so why single me out?

How many of us tipped 4/8 at season start, we have the 4 and a good chance of 5, unbelievable 8 weeks ago. Pearce loss is bad, not catastrophic, Lamb, Cogger, Buhrer and if fit Watson are all very capable players. If we played the same 17 with Lamb for Pearce and played with the same intensity and belief we could win this week and who knows what in coming weeks, self belief is an amazing asset. Other teams suffer same fate, Cleary at Penrith is a example, we aren't the only side missing a major playmaker, it's a case of get on with the job, chance for someone to shine.

Funny how things work out, start of season we are strong in the forwards, not so in the backs, expect to loose a few big boys due to heavy contact but none have fallen. Backs not so strong and what happens, Pythian Gone, Moga, Meaney, Watson and Pearce injured mid to long term, who would have picked it. Gotta love being a Knights supporter.

I'm singling you out in regards to your comments on our competitiveness, not our top 8 chances. I don't think we'll make the 8 either...

Sarcasm? That would have to be a first. Was the comment on us not deserving to win also sarcasm? Every man and his dog could see we were the better team that game.

Well Frank Ethan and I tipped 4 or even 5 from 8 when others were saying 2/8 would be a pass mark!

With Cogger at 7 and Buhrer at 6 I am confident we can take it to the silvertails in their disarray to make it five from eight. Lamb on the bench and reaistically sixteen weeks for Junior is the rest of the seasonl

Pearce today saying he is aiming to be back in 10 weeks which would be a huge boost.

I brought this up last night in the Manly game thread,
If he heels quickly we could have him back just after SOO.
If we can win 4 games while Pearce is out which is very doable plus byes we could be on 20pts with 8-10 games with Peace back.
Plenty of home games and SOO should help us against weaker teams.

I think we may lose Ponga during State of Convenience.

This will be the Queensland back 5 without a doubt barring injury.

He wants to move to the back row so not sure how that is going to pan out for him.

There are players in front of Ponga for SOO and I can't see him getting there this year, but I can see him forcing his way in next year, regardless of who is in front of him.

That try where Fitz threw the harbour bridge pass and Kenny strolled over untouched was as soft as you'll see.
Good luck to Kenny for taking his chances and all, but none of the defenders are even bothering with him while we have Pearce, Ponga, Fitz and Ross all on that side.

Hopefully they continue to not bother with him, and we can keep cut out passing to him to score in the future.
