Mate it's just an expression, clearly we've shown more than just dropping the ball, I'm just saying we do it a lot & it's the thing that's losing us games the last few weeks.

Dunno how players like sio and starling can keep their spots
Also Elliot at fullback makes us very unthreatening

Over Starling.. the guy has done zip and deserves to know we expect better from him no matter how much we pay him.

As for elliot his doing ok atm imo... id still rather pete at the back tho... man he runs the ball hard which can only help our forwards get some momentum going

Ethan if you take no notice of the stats that does not matter. They do tell the entire story however.

We have made the leat number of runs with the ball - 889. Twelve teams are over the 1,000 runs.
We have made the second least metres with the ball - we are some ten metres in front of the Titans per round.
We have made the least line breaks - 17 compared to the chooks 28.
We are 14th in the number of kicks in play.
    We are 13th for offloads.
We are the 12th worst team for errors.

I did not even bother checking the penalties for and against sonsidering some of the decisions against us.

I believe we will improve and like you are trusting we do get six wins and avoid the spoon.

Am I the only 1 that thinks that Sio has been decent? Lot of hate for him here.

He can't do too many runs if he never gets the ball.

I think he's okay. I would like him to try & make more runs though. Rossy can't get enough runs, Sio waits for the opportunity to come to him. The only positive I saw from Gagan in his debut was his runs, he carted it up strong with good leg drive.

Sio doesnt really go looking for the ball much... though he could have 4 or 5 tries if he did get the ball at certain times of a few games.

His pretty average in D and doesnt have the power to bust talkes like a few wingers we have around the club... ohh and i think @Lord of the Skraelings could out run him to a free schooner

I know Starlings been ordinary but he was never carrying all of Newcastle's expectations like the twins who thus far in 2017 haven't broken a sweat.

Gagan played wing in reserve grade this week and scored 2 good tries (swapped places with Cory Denniss from the named side).
Next week he is named on the wing, and is in the 21 squad for firstgrade.
I don't know how much wing he has played, but he looks like he is much more used to centre.

So anyway, looks like brown is grooming him for a wing spot, and he is a big athletic guy who hits hard in both defence and attack.

We also have Tom Hughes named at wing in reserve grade, and he is mostly a centre as well.

They are our two best backs in reserve grade and I suspect Brown is looking to replace some winger, and it wouldn't be Ross.

The issue with the twins which i said all preseason is that they over achieved last yr and will become targets now.

Add to the fact they have gone from Ron Massey cup players at 17yrs old to nrl players at 19yrs old with no real help in the middle they are burnt out.

The twins have classic second year syndrome.
Last year they were achieving new goals every week and it was easy to lift every week.
This year it's the boring slog of NRL, week after week.

Haven't seen him do much wrong, for all the hate he gets. Hasn't quite hit his best form yet, but he's just returned to the NRL, so it was never going to be instant.

It's just second year syndrome, happens to pretty much every rookie as they lose the surprise factor and have to really learn the grind of first grade.

Sio has been very solid for us. The least of our problems at the moment.
