    he owns that jersey

hope he keeps it the rest of the season...cause he deserves it :)

    and when simmo comes back

    where will he play??

you can't drop houso or taia and cory has been pretty good from the bench

Patto wont want to be on the Bench much longer though, he'll want a starting spot for sure.

The real problem is when Tolar comes back.

Mark has no sting in attack.

People are saying he doesnt make enough metres and enough runs, the guy got 23 minutes on the weekend, at the time in the game where we had little ball, still managed 60m and 20 tackles.

Simmo will probably slot into frontrow when he gets back, but i agree it'll be hard when Tolar gets back, Mark looks like missing out, might grab a bench spot if he is lucky.

Well Tolar definitely has to be a starting prop. We are lacking in go forward this year according to the stats.

Yeh i noticed that too, maybe because our backs really work hard to get the ball out of our own 20, or because u tend to spread the ball a lot more then other teams, hence our second rowers Taia and Housten making around 100m a game. and all our backs Jimmy, Maddog, Uate and Sau would be averaging around 100m/game

Taufua will get some more game time during origin.

Truth be told I would like to see Taufua playing in the second row and see how he goes running a little wider.

Luckily selection problems aren't our problem... we have a good squad of players and I'm sure Smithy can keep putting the right players out there.

Anyone got a feeling Naiqama or Dureau might end up playing this week?

    I doubt it.

I would love to see Dureau play but I just can't see it happening especially after beating Dragons.

Naiqama has to compete with Uate/Lulia it would seem, can't see him playing either.

    Another disgrace by Brian Smith.

Another lineup that doesn't do justice to certain players.

With all due respect, he is the coach, not you.

And besides, you're gonna critisise him no matter who he picks

We are winning arent we? So whatever he's doing is working.
BUT i still think Dureau should be in the halves.

Smithy said it himself, that he'd rotate the 3 players around and they'd all get their time in the 6/7. Works well too imo because all 3 know that they are competing against the other 2. Plus we have strong depth.

Trust me he prefers it, i think he would o better there. Smith is playing him in the front row because of the fact we have very little amount of props. When Simmo comes back Taufua could drop to the bench and come on in second row. He's only played a handful of games, and is adjusting to it, He'd go well outside but i know Mark has more than 23 Minutes in him, Probably 45-50 Maybe more.

The word of the week is Depth,

I am personally happy that we are talking about who is in and not based on their form and not the fact that half the squad is injured.

Question, would you prefer our current sceanrio, or would you prefer to have Newton, Woolnough, Perry and all the other players that Smith offloaded to free up the cap back at the Knights?

I am liking the way things are, if all four players that have been named for NSW were to play, we would have the troop to cover those positions and would remain competitive during the Origin campaign.

Back in the old days we would have to replace them with NSW Cup standard players with little or no first grade experience.
