It's interesting people talking about Dsaf's play the ball speed

He racked up some big numbers off the bench but his average play the ball speed was the 2nd slowest of all forwards

To be fair, I reckon we are making a real effort to get our foot to the ball,

Penrith were barely getting to their feet I noticed a few times. Did anybody else notice that?

When looking at penalty count it should be taken into account when it happens 5 penalties on the 4-5 tackle are better than 5 on 1-2 tackle means more ground made and longer period with the ball putting you either safely out of danger or into stronger attacking position

Sure they are, but the refs didn't beat us, thats just looking for a scapegoat beyond our own team.

As with most games, we did plenty to beat ourselves.

Yes definitely did notice this also. Maybe we should start bending the rules like every other team and see what happens, following the rules obviously isn't working for us .

Yeah that’s right, it’s so obvious how much effort there is on it compared to others. Some players are worse than others. Not making excuses because we’ve been bad but.

NZ getting beaten 24 zip atm makes me feel better about some of our losses.

We beat ourselves in this game but that isn't free pass to the referees for this game, I froze my tits off and they dished up a pretty poor performance just like some of our players did and deserve criticism as much as our players because it wasn't first grade standard

Have to wonder why a centre is making 20 tackles which is not only a lot but probably more than some of our forwards.

This image alone says it all. Gavin Reynolds should be out of a job tomorrow.

Was like it all night, if they gave a club like the dogs a 25k fine for coaches remarks we'd cop 100k for shorez lol.

I see Fitz got players player.
Since moving back to the right side he has made 73 tackles with 0 missed. Not bad for a guy who has always been a bit of a lazy defender.
Makes you think he might be worth another try at prop. He has always failed at prop because the defence workload was beyond him - but clearly he is now defending a lot stronger.
With us being a few props short and having far too many second rowers, might be worth seeing if Fitz is now up to doing 40 or 50 damaging minutes at prop.

Why move your best edge runner to a battering ram in the middle? Sounds like a stupid idea to me.

On par with moving Ponga into the halves.

Ponga will be in the halves the day after he works out halves are paid twice as much as fullbacks.

Don't think moving someone that weakens a position to strengthen another is good idea. If move Fitz to prop who comes in to 2nd row, Buhrer, Yates, small bodies replacing big, other option is say prop to lock and Guerra to Fitz position but I see no gain at all. Best option get our 5-6 best props to play hard and strong then change is not needed.
This week bring back Lillyman and JSaf for Heighinton and King and give them ultimatum, fire up or play reserves for an extended period, if fitness is a problem for any prop then give them and fitness coach a kick in the bum.
