    Well thoughts peeps.

What's the least result you would accept without blowing up aka Nickw and Left Foot.

9-12th for mine, after 3 spoons least we deserve.

Any lower than 12th would be very disappointing.
TBH not making the finals after the last two years would be pushing the friendship.

Last 14 years for me aside from the brief Smith years where we stuffed up not keeping him long term have been depressing.

I think we will start slowly and come home well next year.
We have had the highest turnover of players in the NRL and will have 8 or 9 new faces in the side for round 1, so it's a big ask for them to gel right away.
By mid season we should be seeing some strong results.
I think we will be beating top 8 sides by the end of next year, but because of the slow start I think it will be very hard to make the 8.
If we do make the 8, nerves will probably kill us in the finals.

    I expect 5 wins minimum.

    8 will be respectable.

If we can be in contention for the 8 in the last few rounds of the season I will be pleased.

No chance of top 8 next week.

I'm with 88 on that one.

We've endured too many false dawns, it'll almost be surreal for me if we ever become a good side. If we finish 12th or higher I'd say give Brown an extension of 2 years, we need some stability otherwise we'll be going down the path of the Tigers. Bottom 4, big questions asked & 1 year extension IF there's no obvious good replacement coach floating around. Wooden spoon, sacked without question, as sad as it would be.

    Yeah I agree.

I've stood up for Brown cos I think we needed consistency. I don't expect much but another spoon is not acceptable.

Anything lower than 10-11 should be deemed a failure. Anywhere above 10th is a pass mark and a bonus.

While I don't think we're going to make the 8, I believe we're building a strong enough team to push for it in 2019 for sure. Like others have said, anything under 12th would be disappointing. Anywhere from 9th-11th I'd be reasonably happy with. IF we made the top 8 Browny and Mooney would need extensions on the table as soon as finals week one rolled around.

It sounds like Brown might be getting an extension anyway, with Wests putting clauses in there. So obviously if we extend him for 2 years in December & we get the wooden spoon, Wests should have covered themselves so we aren't stuck with a fresh contract.

If we only win 5 barring massive injuries Brown should be sacked at the end of the year.

I would personally be NickW angry.

If we won all our close games this year we would have been close to the 8. Hopefully with more experience coming next year and no major injuries we should be able to win alot more of those tight games. I hopping we will be in between 6th n 10th spot next season.
I would except out of the bottom 4 though.

If we sign Heighington and Lillyman we'll be around the 8 there abouts I reckon.

We sign a decent center I'd be surprised if we missed out.

9 - 12 for me, young team with new players may take awhile to gel, would be happy with that...anything higher...bonus.....anything lower....questions must be asked.:)

obviously the least I would accept would be 2nd but I think with what's on the books for next year the Knights will be right in contention for the spoon.:(

lol exactly, we won 5 this year.

I concur with others that 9-12 would be a pass mark and anything above that a (very pleasant) bonus. In fact, I'd say that 11th or 12th would be a pass. If we are genuinely in the fight for the eight next year, I'll be thrilled and would consider it a successful season.

2019 anything less than the eight (barring extenuating circumstances) would be disappointing.

Anything less than 8th will be a fail. Close games and dud calls go our way this year and aren't that far away. All those saying 10-12 will be a pass I'll see how you're reacting after 18 rounds next year and we're running 11th. I'm putting it out there right now we'll win the comp next year.
