He has shown signs of brilliance but goes missing far to often.
    Average at best in defence

Id pick him at centre over Sione anyday, and id give him Sione wage to.

I agree. But Sione's wage at the end of this season is unlikely to be what Latrell is demanding to be fair.

Any footballer ruling out a club as potential money earner is stupid. The whole idea is to play strong have every club want you and use that to get the best deal you can with the club you want.
In a year or two, he will be older and assuming wiser, he may then reconsider his options but for the time being he don't want us.

Yeah definitely agree but try not to overlook the fact that he's basically the same age as Ponga. Inconsistency, poor defense, it's all to be expected. If he's doing it at 22/23 then ill agree that he's just a douche

When players say that kind of **** I take it with a grain of salt. At the end of the day, when he's off-contract, we put a lucrative offer on the table & the chance to get closer to home, with old Roosters mates plus the boys he already knows at the Knights, I doubt he will brush us off with no consideration. Players may hold grudges as young guys, but when they're having to make proper, professional financial decisions, they enter the real world. As long as he doesn't go off the rails in the next few years, I won't be surprised at all to see him at the Knights one day.

IMO these players tend to play their best footy very early in their careers then fade away as they dont train well and cant continue to just wing it on sheer skills.

Anyway this is all pie in the sky stuff. Mitchell isnt coming here.

We have our game breaking freak talent in Ponga.

    Mitchell will amount to nothing.

Such a lazy player and will waste all the natural ability that he has got. A mental midget as well and goes missing when the going gets tough.

Doesn't like to defend and put his body on the line. He really should try the NFL where he don't have to tackle anyone.

Latrell Mitchell is a freak and is fit fast and strong with all the skills.... He is a game breaker who will only get better and anyone that wouldn't want him in a backline with Ponga , Skd , Moga , Ross , Pearce and Watson or Lamb is nuts...Throw the book at him and get his backside back here ...

I wouldn’t be throwing the book at him. But right now I don’t think he could derail our club. 2 year contract 400k a season would be fair. Centres probably do the least out of the 13.

Mitchell played wing for Australian schoolboys because Braden Robson had the centre position locked up.

There will be PLENTY of clubs after Latrell Mitchell, when is his contract up with the Roosters anyway? I can't see the Roosters with their majic pudding salary cap letting him go anywhere.

Back to the topic of Trent Hodkinson.
That the club is paying $465k or there abouts to play for another club is sickening!!!

Well he wasn't, I have nothing against him saying it, he made the best of a bad situation IMO.

Most of that $465,000 was paid last year for Hodko wasn't it , so we should have most of that back in the cap this season .....I like Sione and i don't mind him going back to centre but Mitchell is worth more at centre than Sione $600,000 i reckon , we were paying Gags more than that ...

But Sione's got potential and Bennett said he is the next club captain and our future.

He already has been captain, and very likely still part of the clubs long term future.

No one cares what Bennett said. Sione was a sensation because he was so advanced for an 18 year old. He was by far the best 18 year old in the country in 2014. That's where the hype came from

Pity he has hardly if anything progressed since 18 then.
