He plead guilty, copped his punishment. So move on. There is much worse players in the NRL that did a lot bigger crimes than having drugs in their possession.

In one of SKD's interviews after signing with the Knights he said he learned his lesson, so I gathered that meant he was making no excuses for it. And there is nothing morally wrong with taking cocaine, as long as he's not hurting anyone & using it safely, then that's no slight against his character for me. He seems like a decent guy, he's loved by the Roosters & the Knights would have got plenty of advice from the people that know SKD very closely.

Yep, absolutely. And there's a big difference between holding a little bag of coke (still a stupid choice) for a mate versus supplying commercial quantities on an ongoing basis.

I'm glad he got a second chance and an opportunity to share a hard lesson learnt as a role model to the younger guys

I agree that who cares but to say there is nothing morally wrong with using cocaine is rediculous! And hey I love it almost as much as charlie sheen

The "excuse" that he was holding for a mate (Carter) who snuck out the back door still holds water. This doesn't disprove anything.

SKD provided a hair follicle test which showed he hadn't used drugs in x amount of months (at least). As far as I know, that's the best way to test someone's drug history and he passed with flying colours.

Yes, Carter got done for supplying coke to SKD. How exactly does that disparage the rumour? The rumour was SKD was holding for Carter who couldn't afford to get done. Instead of being done for possession, he was done for supply as the exchange was caught on CCTV footage. If anything, it solidifies the rumour as SKD tested clean and we find out the drugs were indeed from Carter.

Well I hate to get political on a Knights forum, but I don't think what SKD did was inherently wrong. Legally wrong yes, but unlike violent crimes like murder or sexual assault, SKD acquiring something to have a good time is not immoral in my eyes. For that reason, it doesn't diminish his character to me, he's just dumb for doing it as a pro footballer. Guys like Greg Bird or Blake Ferguson are guys who have done stuff that should be seen more as morally wrong.

Not talking about supporting or associating with anyone. Just the moral reasoning behind wanting to use a mind alterant for fun. Immoral? I wouldn't personally say so unless you want to say drinking alcohol is immoral too. The criminal business behind it is another thing, but I'm sure if people had a choice, they would rather buy it from a non-illegal source & not support criminals. All my point was is that I don't think SKD is a bad person for wanting to have a rowdy night.

Cocaine can be prescribed by a qualified medical practitioner here in Australia for personal use only.

Having said that Frank, some 98% is imported illegally by crime gangs and motor cycle gangs. Any underworld or bikie shootings relates to illegal drugs in by far the majority of cases. Clive Small former Deputy Commissioner of Police in NSW has quoted as cocaine being worth US$1,000 a kilogram in South America, US$20,000 when imported into the USA and a mammoth $300,000 here in Oz.

The only doctors who can prescribe cocaine these days are ear nose and throat specialists for use in the nose - but up till the 1950s they used it for all sorts of things. It was even in the original recipe for coca cola, which was a tonic drink.

Opiates are the prescription drug that is out of control these days. In America medically prescribed opiates are the most common drug of abuse, and we aren't far behind.

I understand from some South African friends that cocaine-containing nasal sprays are an over-the-counter deal
