It seems as though most clubs that end up in salary cap trouble will shed existing players rather than incoming players. The dogs did that with Graham, they'll do it with Mbye and the Morris boys, but Cogger's deal will be safe.

The Dogs had an open meeting with their members last night

Seems their cap issues aren't nearly as bad as Paul Kent reported.

They'll be cap compliant next season with only 5 more players needing to be signed, although those players will be minimum wage players.

Won't have cap room to sign any 'marquee players' until 2021

Don't need to offload the likes of Klemmer or Mybe but will consider it to relieve some cap room.

Will be interesting to see how Paul Kent replies to this, he's been the guy throwing around the '16 players for 800K' story and he doesn't like to be made out as a liar or having poor intel.

They are going to have a pretty ordinary side for the next two years.

I can see Foran getting frustrated, losing form and seeking a release if they're losing more than winning.

Watched Penrith last night, they are very strong overall and big strong pack, thought Tamou of the bench was very strong, hasn't been starting much lately, how is his contract. He is the type we could use, any ideas.
That Campbell-Gillard is very strong player, SOO me thinks

Tamou is on a 4 year deal worth roughly 800K a season I believe

Tamou has been quite good this year from what I’ve seen. Not sure it’s been value for money yet for Penrith but in my opinion he is making more of an impact then Campbell-Gillard this year.

I just don’t see it with him. Sure he went through a great spell of form last year but this year his numbers aren’t that great and I don’t see the impact people are talking about with him. I really don’t rate him in the top echelon of props.

Penrith fans don’t think Tamou is good if you read their forums

Looks like this hasn't stopped them signing new players...

Christian Crichton will join the Dogs next season.

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have added Penrith winger Christian Crichton to their list for the next three seasons.

The Dogs have signed the 21-year-old from the Panthers after he played eight games with the club this year, and will join Canterbury for the 2019 season.

Crichton made his debut in Penrith’s round three loss to the Bulldogs, and has played the past eight games, scoring one try.

Canterbury Chief Executive Andrew Hill was thrilled to bring Crichton on board, and can’t wait to see what he has in store for 2019 and beyond.

“Signing a player of Christian’s ability and potential is great news for Bulldogs fans. He provides us with a quality option in the outside backs and is part of our overall recruitment plan moving forward. We look forward to him joining us at Belmore next season,” Hill told bulldogs.com.au.

Probably due to the pay packet he is on but he has been better this year then last that’s for sure.

Yeah Penrith fans have it in for Tamou. He started poorly last season (as did most of their players) but picked up big time about half through the year. He’s been very strong since.

Their fans still don’t rate him though. Try having a starting front row combination of Starling and Stockwell you big pack of whingers.

Tamou, Merrin, RCG and Fisher-Harris must be such a chore.

As mentioned Stockwell is in Titans 17 against Knights this week, think he has filled that roll for a few games this year, is that a guide to there strength/weakness

He was garbage last week until he suffered a horrible head clash. Was out cold before he hit the ground, surprising he didn't suffer a concussion.
