The NRL is inviting its record number of club members and fans to join the NRL Nation – a new online research community that will help shape the future of Rugby League.

The NRL Nation will be the game’s first official online fan community, where fans can share their ideas and experiences with the NRL and play a key role in shaping decisions about the game.

Throughout the season, members of the NRL Nation will be invited to participate in game-wide research, surveys and discussion forums that cover issues across all levels of Rugby League.

This year 10,000 fans will be registered in the NRL Nation, representing members and fans from across every club. That number will expand in 2014 and beyond.

“Rugby League’s Game Plan is committed to directly engaging with members and fans and to enhance their overall experience with the game,” NRL General Manager, Marketing and Commercial, Mr Paul Kind says.

“The NRL Nation is an exciting initiative that provides members and fans with a forum to provide feedback on key issues across the game, helping us make the best decisions for Rugby League’s future.”

To register for NRL Nation click here.

Fans must be 18 years of age or over to register. Those who miss selection in the first series of registrations will be given priority invitations to join once the database is expanded in 2014. Enhance Research, a long-term research provider to the National Rugby League is the official partner of the NRL Nation.

Has anyone signed up for this yet? I did yesterday ... seems like a great initiative! Should lead to more input from the fans into the game ... just hope I get selected to be on it!

Do you really think they will even look at the results though i am hesitant to sign up because i think it will just be a waste of time and a way for the nrl to pretend it listening to the fans, and next time they make a decision they know will cause an outcry they can just say the fans wanted it

That's the question, but there's only one way to find out.

I do genuinely think the new admin is a lot more interested in what the fans have to say, though. Could be wrong though!

Thanks Tasgirl I returned the favor...your right...I am impressed as well with the style of footy the Roosters are playing and their halves are on fire...not to mention SBW is the best buy of 2013 so far.

I agree, I never used to like SBW, but my goodness he is playing so well considering he has been out of the game for 5yrs.....pity he didn't come to the Knights.....(plus, what a body...hubba hubba)
