Hey guys I don't know if there's already a thread on this but anyway we've currently got 3 off contract they are.....


Chris Adams - Hooker - age 27 - Cessnock Goannas

Adrian Davis - Halfback - age ?? - RELEASED - Redcliffe Dolphins

Zane Tetevano - Second Row - age 22 - RE-SIGNED - 2015

Ryan Stig - Half - age 23 - RELEASED

Mitchell Frei - Second Row - age 21 - Apparently will be staying

Craig Gower - Half/Hooker - age 35 - RETIRED

Rodney Mason - Second Row - age 22 - RELEASED

Chanel Mata'utia - Outside Back - age 21 - RE-SIGNED - 2014

Chad Redman Hooker/Half - age 20 - RE- SIGNED ????

Nathan Ross - Wing - age 25 - Kurri Kurri Bulldogs

Paterika Vaivai - Prop - age ?? - RE-SIGNED ????

Pat Mata'utia - Outside Back - age 20 - RE-SIGNED - 2015

Ben Roose Forward - age 20 -

Do any of you think we should re-sign any of these players?? I know some of them would be helpful for NSW Cup next year but yeah leave your opinions down below

Also feel free to let me know if any of these players have re-signed so I can take them off the list....

The next couple of years look like this:

2014: 17 Players Off Contract

2015: 10 Players Off Contract

2016: 4 Players Off Contract

2017: 2 Players Off Contract

If anyone wants I can put down the players that will be off contract in the 2014,2015,2016 and 2017 seasons.

 

feel bad for stig, had a lot of talent deserved better and might even have to retire.

 

Zane has been offered a contract but not sure he has signed yet - may be holding out for a better offer from elsewhere.

I've heard Chanell and Pat Mataútia will be back next year.

Gower will negotiate when he is over his neck injury.

I'd sign Redman and Vaivai for another year - and Frei too, but i think he is gone.

 

Don't really care or not if Tetavano resigns. Has had long enough to show what he is made of but hasn't done much. It's a shame about Stig though, was my favourite player in 2011 behind Gids

 

gotta agree with you on tets, he got his opportunity to shine through injuries and just didn't do to much imo, ready for youngsters like korbin getting more time and packer starting with us next year, don't see to much room for him.

I think we could do without:
Ross and Tetevano

and should atleast give another year to:
Mason,Mata'utia,Vaivai and Gower

I doubt there will be enough room for the rest of the players off contract knowing that we've signed Dobson then Davis would probably have to go. I don't think there would be room for Adams either.

 

Welcome Jerome! Gotta agree with you on re-signing those players and I doubt we will keep Adams and Davis. Rumour is that Mitch Frei will be released or leave on his own.

 

Rod Mason doesn't rate another contract. He was close to firstgrade last year, but this year he only held the bench spot in reserve grade because they had to name contracted players over non contracted players.

 

Cheers I was pretty disappointed with Frei this year I know he got Players' Coach of the Year in NSW Cup but I don't see him much as a real First Grade potential player. Reckon you could put up the Players who will be off contract next year? (if you want ofcourse)

few facing the chop, here's my ick of the keepers- Mullen, Leilua, Roberts, Mckinnon, Likiliki, Mantellato, Mason(Reduced deal ?), Cuthbertson, Dobson (depending on first year)

 

I wouldn't loose any sleep if we lost all those players.

RE Gower, if we resign him it needs to be on match payments only, a 36 year old with a ****y neck shouldn't be getting a contract.

 

I'd probably re-sign Mullen,Leilua,Roberts,Mason,McKinnon and Houston I'd only re-sign Mantellato,Tahu,Hilder,Cuthbertson,Likiliki and Dobson if they stay consistent. Quinn will probably Retire and Fa'alogo will either go elsewhere or retire aswell I probably would re-sign him though. Don't get me talking about Newton I just hope he plays well. Waddell definitely needs to prove himself to the club that he can be a First Grade player because what I saw from him this year was terrible he'd be a NSW Cup bench player at best from what I saw.

 

A lot of high class players off contract next year.

 

Hey JoshW21 do you know when Uate and McManus's contracts are up??

 

Sure do Uate's contract will be up at the end of the 2017 season and McManus's contract will be up at the end of the 2016 season so we won't have to worry about losing them until around 2015/2016
