I've been saying for years blokes a poser, glad to see he was woeful for Bronc's last night, 6 weeks he'll be in QLD Cup, guy is horrid so thanks for taking him Benny.

But back on topic, I loved the haircut and the tints, great to see his sporting a hair style a 40 year old soccer Mum would be happy with!

Sim's biggest flops in the clubs history?

    ^^ plus 1 game 1 win.
Pretty sure he would feel good about that.

Did also provide a great offload to milf.
    Almost scored himself as well.

6.5/10 imo rd1 plus what 5wks with the team?
Personally id like to see him do well there, he had 3 terrible yrs in a row here.... McKinnon going down aka his best mate then 2 spoons in a row.
But nah thats bag the guy for wanting a change and to hopefully better his career.

Yeah the bloke's a real martyr.
Funny how good he looks when he puts in any effort above the bare minimum.
He and his useless brother are massive wastes of oxygen.

Poser was the word that came to me when I was watching Korbin last night and I agree that it applies to Tariq as well.

Bennett said in a story on NRL.com yesterday that Korbin "had about four years of social loafing. I think he is ready to show us what he's really got"

    https://www.nrl.com/bennett-backs-sims-to-shine/tabid/10874/newsid/104175/default.aspx

Hopefully we have now go rid of all the players who were not playing there best for us for whatever reasons.

I wouldn't bring McKinnon into it.

All 3 Sims have a history of phoning it in most weeks with the the occasional good game (although Tariq lost that ability imo.)

I will look forward to watching Korbin be relegated to QLD Cup this year where he belongs

In cricket terms, the Sims boys are "slow track bullies", meaning they go great when they are part of a pack that is clearly dominant, but aren't much help if they are in a team that is fighting against the odds.
Luke Yates is a great contrast. I don't know if he'll make the grade, but the one thing I know about him is he is the guy who throws himself into a game when the other forwards are looking beaten, which is why everyone wants him in their side.

I thought he did a few good things last night. For his half a game he made ok metres. He had that good offload and barged over once to be held up. But the thing is, around those few times when he did something, he did absolutely nothing. Wasn't looking to get involved in the game at all and I thought he often only ran the ball because the ball happened to come his way and someone passed it to him.

He looks well out of shape also. Bordering on having a gut and just looked out of sorts.

What the hell are you talking about. He looked absolutely impotent. Did not make a single important run or single dominant tackle.

I watched him very closely. And I can tell you that very few if any of the 23 tackles are actually his tackles.

Well you're wrong about him not having 1 single important run. He had at least 1 extremely good run where he carried multiple players over a distance & kept going until they dragged him down for good. All in all I thought he looked for majority a bit soft in contact, but looked like he was trying harder than he was here in 2016.

I watched him a bit, Numbers were okay but not much impact

Agree with @Joshhh that he looked to be putting in more effort than he did while he was here

Also it's easy to look good in a forward pack that has 5 internationals starting - McGuire, Glenn, Blair, Gillett and Thaiday

U must of missed 2mins then, he busted the line and got a great ball off to milf, if Fifita didnt get the ankle tap on milf sims would of had a try assist.

At least 10 of those 23tks were 3rd man in tho i agree there.

He wasnt great but who was tbh? Rd 1 first game imo was pretty average across the park from both teams.

Um i quoted his actual match stats and compared his effort last night to his time with us. like been mentioned by 88 i think he a had a few good moments and overall showed a greater committment last night then his time here.

    I must have missed that

But look, I was relieved to know that the problem was him and not us.

Uate will more than likely demonstrate the same reality against the Eels

Tariq never had a good game for us.

    Korbin had maybe a dozen.

Jesus mataora gets a lot of love for someone who is fringe at best. Sure he slimmed down in 2016 but 85m a game from your starting prop is ordinary.

Meanwhile Korbin makes 111m in his first outing and he's crap, apparently.
