Cause they have a salary sombrero. Every rep or great player seems to want to go there at some stage and they always seem to fit them in

When Cronk retires after next season Keary to play half and Munster 5/8 would be the plan.

I'll be surprised if they can get Munster out of Melbourne, especially since they'll have a lot of spare coin

    Don't forget they've got Lamb.

Who needs Munster when they have Lamb? Lamb is better than Watson and Munster.

    Lino deal close

Word is the Newcastle Knights have offered Warriors five-eighth Mason Lino a two year deal after he was given permission to negotiate elsewhere despite having a year to run on his current contract.

We are hearing Knights coach Nathan Brown, who is in New Zealand this week spending time with the All Blacks, has met with Lino to talk about his future and a potential move.

I don’t mind Lino although I’m not totally sold either, I’m happy enough though because I believe although he’s been bought as a backup he could actually add something to our NRL side.

Could easily see him playing 5/8 and goal kicking whilst with Frawley he really is only ever going to be a back up.

Lino/Frawley are certainly better backup options that Lamb and Cogger it seems. I thought he would get more game time with the Warriors though?

Warriors here. A few fans have always had it in for Johnson (SJ). The club have no issues that I have heard of.

As far as his form goes until this year he was the eagle among the turkies. His defence now is the best among the NRL halves of all clubs imo. Green has helped his game and I see no reason to punt him.

Lino is an honest player who gives it all. He is a guy who has maximised his potential with hard work. He has done well replacing SJ and Green at different times. Dont know how he would go at Hooker. If he failed it wont be from lack of effort or ticker.

You could do a lot worse. Us Warrior fans dont really want to lose him but want him to do well.

If any Club gives a player permission to 'look around', they have to logically be prepared to release him when he finds what he is looking for.

From what ive read about Lino he is pretty good and he is not coming here to play reggies ,he said he is coming here to push for a first grade spot ..
That's what we need imo young guys that are hungry and want to compete and believe they can do it .
Look at Ponga , Watson too same thing really.
Luke is my favourite hooker I love the aggression he plays with , he's not the most Talented or the best (Smith is )and he had 2 bad seasons before last season. He is good though and will teach our guys aggression , we want a big aggressive prop to do this but it wont hurt having 2 guys teaching them ...

Hopefully if to be signed he is subjected to medical/physical check before hand, my worry is injury and age combined is a worry.
