I haven't watched him play much but you guys are raving about him every week, sounds like a masterstroke by Brown & Mooney.

    Yes.

Roosters basically knew we couldn't compete to give all our juniors five figures when you sign most of them for a few thousand but they offer $40k+

Has anyone else heard a rumor about him wanting to break contract and stay at sharks?

Well i doubt he would back out of walking into the right centre position, he is getting First grade time because Dugan unsurprisingly can't play a full season. Otherwise he might not

Also as posted above its more because of his kid that's living near Newcastle so there's that

He can't just back out anyway, but this is total bs.

Ramien has probably doubled his value since we signed him.
He's probably very dirty that we signed him as a fringe firstgrader and he's now a boom youngster who could get near rep level money.

There's always a risk taken by both parties signing a player so far in advance of their transfer.

It's the opposite situation of the Broncos with Bird, he's laughing all the way to the bank while they've seen zero return on their investment. I'd like to think karma has come full-circle on that one.

Given the amount we have left in the salary cap I wonder whether there'd be harm in topping up Ramian's contract? The same could probably said about Ponga, he'd command a premium over what we signed him on.

Ramien’s value has definitely risen since we’ve signed him. Same with Ponga. He was once thought to be an overpay. Now he’s on a value contract.

Ponga has been the best fullback in the comp this year, and the best fullbacks are on a million a year.

Lets see what Ramien does for us before we even consider bumping up his deal. Ross when he was going well asked for a pay bump and that didn't get him very far. Ramien is young and can make his big money on his next contract.

Same for Ponga who is making very good coin for a player his age already. He will get his big contract soon enough.

Depending on what you believe but it was reported that ponga was on incentive based concract and his wage bumped up when he played rep football. So if true he should be getting a pay rise after origin anyway.

Nearly 900k saved on SKD, Ramien and Ponga when added up all together if we're looking at their current value. Un-freakin-believable.

You wouldn’t consider bumping Ramien’s contract up before even playing a minute for your team, it was just said that his value would have greatly increased since signing him – which is undoubtedly true.

As for Ponga, he’s making good coin for a player his age, but not necessarily good coin for a player of his quality. If he were off contract at seasons end, teams would be opening up the war chest and throwing figures of near $1M per season at him. We’ve likely got him for 60% of his value, which is a bargain.
