They have said the same about supporting other players and did squat... I doubt they will support him at all, he was employed and now fired...

    Shame talent wasted really...

You can't write that stuff about Moylan on a forum unless you can afford to pay your own legal bills when he sues.

I don’t believe that they should be tested for recreational drugs. But Jesus you’re silly if you get done a 2nd time.

Fair enough edited out even though it was from a reliable source who is usually on the money and its been doing the rounds on social media rumours/forums.

Great another Newcastle player to re-enforce the drugcastle crap we cop.

I didn't even know he failed a first test let alone a second. Another waste.

Don't they take both samples together, if the A sample fails you can request to have the B sample tested to test for a false positive?

Would be recreational, hence the 12 match ban by the NRL if you get caught twice, which doesn't surprise me, he's basically been a pub footy player up until the last year or so, so the crowd he'd hang out with would be well & truly into it.

I'd be surprised, he's played 3 games & the last one was over a year ago. Not many people would know about him or care, especially with the drugs ban. Unfortunately I think this will probably be the end of him, unless we take him back in a couple years.

I'm pretty sure they keep the first positive test anonymous as a warning. Then if it happens again, the NRL steps in & bans them after they haven't learnt their lesson. It all came out after Barba got done 2 or 3 times. Players are probably testing positive all the time, but they learn quickly not to mess around after they get that first warning, or they just hide it better.

Not ASADA tests, they're done by some private company. If you get pinged by ASADA out of competition no one is notified. If it's in competition the ban is a lot longer than 12 weeks.

Yep & I think the system is a good one, lots of young players will do it so rather than having their names plastered in the papers & their careers already ruined, it's good for the NRL to privately say don't stuff up again, or there will be consequences. Anyone who chooses to do it again, even after that first warning is an idiot, so I can't feel too sorry for poor old Phyth.

His father-in-law has a lot of contacts and Pyth is probably fitter than he has ever been in his life.
I won't be surprized to see him pop up somewhere - Wyong maybe, or Canberra.
