I think he'd be a great signing. There's been articles about how he has been a really good role model and leader down at Canberra. Could be really good for the saifiti boys having an islander role model in the team.

If Canberra are paying a chunk, welcome aboard.

Isn't this the same player who stiff armed Slater.
And what makes us want to buy just because his current club might pay half his wages, do we want him, do we need him, will he fit all our requirements, does he play a position we need to fill
Not sure about any of the above but it is worth considering

Slater hit was an accident, stop reading into media garbage if it was on a lesser player you would hardly hear about it.

Also sione is too big for centre, also his head injuries are a concern...

    Sign him up i say

Literally the last position we need now. Centre should be the main priority. Hopefully it’s just a catch up.

Not sure how he would fit in. Would assume it means Sione to center

For that reason alone I'd love to have him around, beers for life. There's no player past or present (including Spud) that I hate more than Slater :fist:

He's a lock these days. Assume would rotate with Barnett.

They have said they have talked to dozens of players and only signed a fraction of them, and we have had many reports of players coming to town for a look around.
I don't think we should take this seriously till we hear something from some source saying he or the club are interested.

We seem to have enough forwards, and most of the young prospects coming through, Sam Stone, Amey, Brodie Jones, Saulo, the Croker brothers, the Dark brothers, the Anderson brothers, Gardiner, Tom Baker etc etc are all forwards - with very few good backs on the radar.

If we are looking at longterm, and we should be now that we have a squad for next year in place, we need a few more Ponga's or a Fijian winger or two.

Couldn't agree more, snaring a player or 2 with the size, speed and ability of Vunivalu would be the equivalent of a recruitment wet dream.

He is a very good player and an outstanding role model for young polynesian players! He is just what the Safiti's and Esse' need to continue their upward trajectory! It's a YES for me!

With nov 1 approaching it could be an informal meeting or "lunch" about his plans for 2019

That means he will not be let go. Lurker fails miserably on his 'leaks'.

Basically just covering his ***, if we sign Soliola, then it'll have been "under the right circumstances", if not then he can say it wasn't the right circumstances.

I read in the paper yesterday that he was up here for a wedding at the vineyards, and was just catching up with Browny for lunch!
May be just a coincidence or maybe not..............
