That kid in the left of the shot is drinking through his nose. I'd say that's who SKD must of been holding for.

Don't think he's what we need. Backrow is stacked enough now.

I heard nothing but great things about him as a leader on and off the field during his first year at Canberra. He seemed to drop off quite a bit this year though. Would seem kind of redundant to sign him after we just signed Heighington, but I wouldn't be completely against it.

Yeah we have no need for another backrower. A decent outside back or a decent half of one came up is what we need.

Would love Soliola. He's not just a second rower either. He's played a ton of lock/prop in the middle third of the field. That's actually where he played majority of his footy last season for Canberra.

He's a good player but unless he wants to come on a low contract like Heighington (which I doubt he would), I don't think he's really worth it given the balance of our squad and other priorities at the moment.

I’m confident Brown wouldn’t over pay for him

it looks like he's contracted for next year.
maybe Canberra need to lighten their cap.
they might pay part of his wage.

Didn’t think of that wouldn’t it be nice to be on the right end of one of those deals for a change

We need another prop for the rotation and depth. He would shore up our depth in forwards.

I'm all for it, my dad use to rate him highly for his off field personality and he works very hard.

    Hopefully we sign him!

Brown coached him at St Helens, could just be catching up. Charlestown Square food court seems like a strange place to have secret negotiations.

Could be just a case of coach and player getting together for lunch, just lunch, off season time to catch up with friends

Did anyone say they were secret negotiations ....Really we have 4 back rowers if Sione goes back to centre and 2 of those have experience Guerra , Buhrer ...Fitzy and Stone are still learning Barnett and Yates are locks really and Yates is a newby too . So if we lose Buhrer or Guerra to injury were down to 1 experienced b/rower...Heighington can play B/row but has been playing prop for a while now and is averaging 40min a game ....Soliola is just what we need especially if we don't sign another centre , Although I would still play Skd at centre with Chanel outside him but Sione at centre with Skd outside him works too lol

Do we need him more than we need a centre/halve/prop we can cover second row with Heighton, Griffin, Stone, Yates even if Sione plays centre.
Three more signings, Prop, Halve and Centre, all good and experienced and the right type and you have all positions covered, even if it doesn't happen until 2019, then we will be a force. We will drop a few at end of 2018 and sign a few for 2019 onwards
