    Hagan good coach but maybe not a good cap manager .....

    Jaybro. Hagan was extremely fortunate. With Joey, Robbie O, Mad Dog and Midley running the backs, BK, Simmo, Matt Parsons and Butts the forwards, with Simmo, you and I could have coached that team to the premiership.

    Admittedly I overlooked Ryan, who would have ranked second and Waite never got rated at all.

    Came 5th in regular season and 1 game from the gf isnt half bad id think?

    I've personally never rated Hagan as a coach, ever.
    Inherited a Knights team full of rep players and won a GF who many coaches could have won.

    Even though Joey's injuries dictated how well we did it was a bit of a travesty we didn't come close to another GF with that team at times.

    I put the poor management of the roster on his head too during that time. Replaced rep players with rubbish players who Brian Smith had to show the door.

    He is a bit similar to when Ricky Stuart inherited that Roosters team and was in the right place at the right time with the Bulldogs being done for salary cap and the Knights without Joey. Only competition being, the Warriors...lol

    And to reiterate other peoples points here, both left their teams worse off then when they came here.
