I'm not panicking yet, but the idea of us buying Kurt Mann is concerning and to play him at hooker is very concerning.

I think the Segeyaro boat may have sailed, I think we've probably offered him a deal and he's asked for more but we've said no.

I for the life of me can't even remember a thing about Mann and I watch most games, same would have been said about Glasby until he signed with us and even than it was very underwhelming watching him play.

I always thought Mann must have some photos of Mary McGregor naked, now i'm convinced he has photos of McGregor and Brown naked together

Mann is a very similar player to Watson, except that he has never played Hooker as far as I know.
When we signed him for under 18s he was the big signing for the year and was the gun young fullback in the country - star for Keebra Park school and Qld - but we were short in the halves and he played all season as a running 5/8, and we won the national under 18s title with him being our top try scorer I think. He was poached from us by Melbourne.

Hasn't kicked on to be a good NRL player though to be fair.

I could handle it if we signed him for depth, but the idea that he's been bought to player hooker makes me sick

You can't say he won't be a good hooker - because he's never done it.
He's played fullback, wing, centre, 5/8 and I think he might have played a little bit of halfback, so at worst he's a good utility.

    No that’s fair

But imo he’s a jack of all trades but a master of none. He’s been tried in all these positions but hasn’t done well in any of them. The coach loves him because he’s a good kid and versatile.

Barry Toohey thinks we will land Jennings and segy possibly if Levi leaves

We should be signing Segy regardless of if Levi stays.

We need hooker depth with Watson committed to fullback. Unfortunate that Griffin is likely to be out for all of next year, if back at all.

What confirmation do we have about Watson to fullback?

There's no one else, unless they bring someone in.

Our next best fullback is 18 year old Tex Hoy now that Meaney, Ross, Naden and Cooper are gone.

The more I think about swapping Ponga and Watson the more I like it. It allows Watson’s running game to flow and gets the ball in Ponga’s hands more. Plus we saw in Origin that he’s more than capable of handling the defensive workload.

Ponga will go from handling the ball every second set to handling the ball twice a set.
He will be a nightmare for defenders.
They'll spend all game trying to work out where he will run next, and all our other runners will dine out on that all day.

    Is Ross a confirmed loss?
Edrick Lee can play fullback supposedly

If Sio and Dennis go surely we’ll keep Ross?

One would think, though tbh I'd rather let Ross go and keep Sio and Dennis. I'd think those 2 would cost 300k combined where Ross would be on 250+

    Ross on less than 200k.

Edit, sorry that was previous deal. Could be on that much, probably why they want him to walk.
