Phythian, Pat Mat and Tom Starling are all contracted (they might all be second tier though), and Fitz isn't yet.

Bring in an outside back, hooker, two middle forwards. Extend Yates, Fitz. Maybe Elliott. Still spots up for grabs.

I think I read they will leave one spot free just in case someone gets pushed out next year.

Outside the box, Possibly Cogger could be given some time at dummy half. IMO if he can cope with the tackling, I think he would go alright at dummy half

I won't be surprised if he's upgraded next year.

    Cory Denniss is also contracted.
He's had a pretty ordinary year.
From what I heard of the pre season, it sounded like he had trouble keeping up with the training.
He started the year in reserve grade and went pretty bad.
He missed a fair amount of time with injury, and is now doing some good things in NYC.

In the Sunday paper - Fitz close to signing a 2 year deal and Yates close to signing a 1 year deal.

In the Sunday paper, Tom Hughes has signed for 2018 and joins the fulltime squad.
He has played very well on the wing this year, but last year he played pretty well as a centre and second row too.
He will be 23 next year.

Hodko is sticking around next year and Meaney is about done with an upgrade on his 2nd tier deal.

If we sign no other new players our problem/weakest positions are centre and hooker, yes we need and want props and we will get them as that appears the focus but let's not overlook needs elsewhere

Friday Wests and the NRL signed their letter of agreement and the Knights Board as such has been disbanded. For mine, Gardner showing his usual due process. did not want Fitzy signed to a 2 year deal whilst Dad was a Director. Expect it to be announced in the next week or so.

So the guys we know are getting their first NRL pre season are Tom Starling, Pasami Saulo, Tom Hughes and I suspect we will see Tyrone Amey and Cam King. They will join young players Nick Meaney, Brodie Jones and Cory Denniss who are having their second.
I'd also like to see Kurtis Dark join his longterm mates Starling and Jones.

I really think Lamb and Watson combo is the best we have, wouldn't mind seeing Hodko fill the bench role even with Slade coming.

I just thought about Adam Clydsale. We should offer him a bench hooker role to rotate with dk.

Yates set to sign and we still have our eye on Maloney according to Toohey.
