If Ponga gets the Australian 6 jersey it'll be interesting if he makes the case for Pearce to partner him.

If it's difficult to split players competing for positions the selectors tend to favour incumbents or club combinations.
The question would be which halfbacks are on the selection shortlist if that eventuality ever came up. There's more than a couple in the mix

Pipped on the line. Would've been a certainty if stayed fit. Pearce also polled very well considering the time he spent injured

If only his ankle didn't let go on him those last few rounds, or if the team could have had 2 more wins in there.

    Not to be.

Yep, second. Pearce did very well also and came in about 6th I think it was, 6 points behind the winner.

Looking good for next year if we can keep our spine stable.

Said before he signed the contract with you guys he will end up in union to get that jersey. Got no doubt it will happen within the next 2 big contracts in his prime.

I could honestly be more OK with him going to the All Blacks than signing with another NRL team

I'd send him off with a contract to return at any time. Leave the value out, he can name his price after winning a Bledisloe Cup.

He comes across as one of the guys who's handshake is his contract, if he said Newcastle is the only NRL team he'd return for that is good enough for me.

From what I have heard from the people in newcastle/media his Dad has been great and they have had no issues with him based off the 'jibberish' rumours that were posted here (their words, not mine)

KP out on the Town with Latrell at the Gold Coast. Expect him to sign with the Roosters for $500 a win $100 a loss.

Maybe Kalyn and Connor are recruiting Latrell back to the Knights.

    We can dream
